Ohman, weekend!

Friday, I pretty much just hung out with assorted college kids --Lauren, Emily, Ty (Em's boyfriend), Ria, Maddie, Dominik, and Cecily-- from about noon until three in the morning. It was kinda righteous.

Lauren and I watched Saw II somewhere in the middle of that one. It's pretty good, and ohman am I a wuss. Just kinda in general. Various groupings of people also watched Willard and Thank You For Smoking, but I was phased out on the computer for most of that. (Fucking TV tropes.)

Saturday, I woke up when the amazingly amazing Lezzie-Beth called me and was all "Uhm, lab hours for Play Productions class, kthanksbai?" (in not quite those words) I wound up working in the theatre for the next five hours or so, helping to make a chastity belt. Which was kinda fun, especially the interlude in the middle where me and Lezzie-Beth wound up looking at assorted torture devices, as part of the "hmm, lets google chastity belt for reference!" thing.)

Got food, went upstairs...and shut myself into my room for all hours. I think my goal was to never leave and be real life social ever, mostly because I was...slightly socialed out.

This was actually a good thing, as it culminated in having a much needed gossip session with my fabulously sexy best friend, Veronica (seriously, go look at her new usericon. What the *fuck* Belanie1, no one has any right to look that amazingly good.) Of course, just as we started to get to the really good bits, my internet connection went all "fuck this shit!" and died on me. So me and V need to finish that gossiping sometime, probably/hopefully over spring break.

Me and The Katters wound up tossing text messages back and fourth for about an hour, while I did some housecleaning, and then I went to sleep. At four in the morning.

Eleven and a half hours later, or so, I woke up again. Man, there is nothing that will totally fuck up your sleep schedule as much as waking up at three thirty in the afternoon. On the plus side, I do feel particularly well rested.

Once awake, I stumbled downstairs, got food, remembered that I had been invited to [livejournal.com profile] xalolo's for gaming, went "Shit yes!", put on clothes, and walked to Harvard Square so I could catch a bus to his place.

...and waited. For a really frigging long time. Rarrrrrr.

EVENTUALLY the bus showed up, and I went over, and said hullo to Chris ([livejournal.com profile] xalolo) and to Nathan (Lab Rabbit with pretty hair) and to other assorted people, and wound up getting sucked into a game of "Covert Action", which is an pretty good game with a terrible winning mechanism. Like, "Planet Hollywood" terrible, only *worse*.

Played a couple rounds of Sixis, which is currently in beta, and I got to play a bunch of when I went and worked for Chris a couple weekends ago. It's interesting to play it as a team game instead of a two person game. I'd like to try it with three sometime now.

Played a game of "Blue Moon City" which is a suprisingly fun "God, this is the sort of game I hate, isn't it?" game. Part of that may have been that it takes about 20-40 minutes to play. Still though, I may have to accept that strategy/thinking games are not inherently evil.

(Totally unrelated note: WANT ICEHOUSE. WANT PLAY! Who's in Boston and willing to play with me? *whines*)

And then we played a million zillion rounds of RockBand, because it is the greatest video game ever. I no longer suck at the drums part on medium for "Foreplay/Long time".

Annnnnnnnnd I'm out. Class soon. I may wish to eat something. Hmm, maybe I should curl up in a corner and read. I haven't done too much of that lately.

There were quite a few different pieces of crypticness, that I eventually decided not to post, instead leaving you with this crypticness, which you have NO IDEA whether it's a bad crypticness or a good crypticness, and therefore will be confused forever! Or, well, until you forget about it, which ought to be soon, as there really ought to be a limit to how thoroughly you lot stalk me.

Some lyrics )

Some Explanation )

***

I gotta agree with Jeph Jaques that all-caps is pretty much the best way to make things sound funny. Which is why "Dear self, this is not functional, what is wrong with you?" is not nearly as entertaining as "DEAR SELF, THIS IS NOT FUNCTIONAL, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

Not that anything's wrong with me. Ohno, I'm *perfectly* functional. What, I am! I'm not crying, at least, and considering that I have cried because I couldn't find my gorram German textbook (okay, I'm moderately sure that it was slightly more complex then that) I'd like to think that if I'm not crying, then nothing is wrong with my life.

***

Not that my life is a text based RPG. Ohno. Not at all. )

***

Sometimes, I am a very strange person.

And because I'm bored, and kinda like being a computer program: Welcome to Sorcy's Room. You are standing in front of a blue metal door with bubble wrap taped to it. There is tape where a white board used to be. The white board is now sitting on the floor.

"The rules are easy, just post 10 things that recently made you happy! Then tag 10 people and force them to post this meme on their LJs. Because it is good. Everyone needs a little happiness once in a while."

Ten things that have recently made me happy:

1) My boyfriend is coming to visit me this weekend! <3

2) I watched the Jungle Book on Saturday with Jess.

3) I kinda sorta got to see Annaliese on Saturday, through the wonders of the interwob. Hush, I still got to see The Goddess. That's totally happy-fying.

4) Have I mentioned the Kinder Bueno bars yet? Kinder Bueno bars.

5) Mary is becoming friendlier to me. :)

6) The fact that I have not one but TWO pieces of fanart drawn for SOMETHING I WROTE. *squee!*

(Okay, it was a lifefic. And they're more illustrations then fanart. I STILL have fanart, DAMNIT!)

7) The fact that this picture somehow makes me look elegant.

8) Lauren and I now have codenames and injokes and a constant mission (Avoid subject 23-fucking-19). We also invented a game, which is an awesome game, called "Version 2.7" We should go play it again tonight or something. Need to find a tennis ball... >>

Yeah, I have friends! How wild is that?

9) Theatre is life. <3 I guess this means I'm living again.

10) The leaves have started to change, meaning that the already gorgeous view out my window is becoming even prettier. I shall have to go wandering.

11) (Of course it goes up to eleven. :D ) All the wandering makes me seem much smarter then I actually am. ACTUAL QUOTE: "Wow, you're pretty smart [to know about that]" "No, I just walk a lot." (Angelica/Me)

12) I am in a nonexistant band now. Mushmallows fo'EVER!!

(I play the drums. Of course. :D)

13) Maeve

14) "You're Winner!". Seriously, I nearly pissed myself laughing at all the reviews and everything.

15) I can't really remember the last thing, but it's all good. :)

So, yesterday was a lot of fun, and pretty much all really spectacular, except for pissing Veronica off. I'm sorry dear, I didn't mean to yell at you. >.<

Woke up far too early in order to harass Flinx. This time, Aly came along with me. The three of us wound up playing a brilliant game of 1KBWC. The last card played (by me, of course) goes as follows:

"Hurts my head like math"
Take all cards with a number on them and remove them from the game.

This was....all but maybe a dozen cards. It rocked. Aly won though, she had the Z card-you get x + y points. Wench.

After that was malling. I got to get in a LOVELY bit of conversation with Flinx, and learned that he's still a Rocky Horror virgin! Mea nd Jaimee have decided that we need to fix that.

Bought some earings at claires. I now have a gift card with a total balance of $0.02. Gnarr.

Went home and cleaned, and sulked, and yelled at people for being argumentive (I can't stand it...I really can't. I love my sibling both dearly, but the second you assign the two of them to do the same chore...Grr!!)

Then Spyro, which I have been playing. I'm properly anal about it-I have 100% on every level I've done. This included doing that first flying level something like four dozen times until I could get everything...I was so proud when I made it, too.

I really really like Spyro. It is exactly my kind of game, what with the things to puzzle out, and the set goal- you know when you can get 100%, and it tells you how many gems or dragons there are in a level. And it's *fun*

And puzzling things out? That rocks. I feel proud when I figure the hard ones out, like that stupid jump twisty glide you had to do. Aig. That took forever.

Babysitting...Koob was a doll, as usual. He had an INCREDIBLE amount of energy, more then usual. I wound up outside with him for a LOT of swinging for nearly an hour. I finally just dragged him up and let him run around on the porch for a while since I just couldn't chase him anymore. Video, and then he CRASHED! It was really cute. I love the little monkey.

And DUDE! I can't remember if I babbled about it in here or not, but I got to hold a skull! A real one, from a human!! It was SO NEAT!

Her name is Glynda, and she is [livejournal.com profile] ednoria's. She's AWESOME.

From babysitting, to the bar, and assorted other important chats, such as with Thorog or with the Master of Bad Timing. I have something like four pictures to draw for dares, since everyone kept calling on me. I must be popular or something. :p So you lot will be seeing another art update fairly soon, methinks.

Including embaressing pictures of me! Yay for those!! I think I need to do one of my pretty pretty ballarina ones, although mom stumbled across a fairy princess picture of me. Really, embaressing pics of me aren't that hard to find. I was the first child, so mom took a TON of pictures, and I was SUCH a girly-girl, so theres a lot of pink and dresses and barbie pictures of me. Greeeeeeat.

I think I've run out of things to talk about.

Well, ok, no I haven't. But it's none of your buisness, so nyah.

That is all.

Well, considering that I've alredy has one person complain to me that I haven't been updating hereabouts, I figured I should come check in.

Life has been fairly busy, but on the whole, non-exciting. Except for Pirate Feast. Pirate Feast ruled!! There was lots of good food, and music, and trinkets, and dancing. TOTALLY going back next year.

Stuff that's happened since my last update:
Monday...Snow day! Makes me happy!! I went sledding with V's clan, and the sibs, then we all went home. Me and V made Mac&Tuna. (And are now the high priestess's of Macaroni and Tuna-dom, as we won two new converts to the cause -our sisters) Afterwards, we kicked the boys off the TV and us four girls played Halo. Lots of Tanky goodness on...that one level. Where Red Vs Blue takes place. Yeah, that one. Then the sisters bailed, and me and Veronica went and played the city level. I'm highly pleased with myself, I managed to get the soda machine all the way out of the building, and dropped it over the side so it landed in the main middely area. Go me!

...Yes, I'm not a very serious Halo player. Shut up. I speant a large amount of that game throwing things off the walkways overlooking the central area. It's fun!

Tuesday...School. Blek. Kung-fu...less blek, besides doing the Thirty Steps of Death, which is somewhere between Blek and cool. Mostly just ow.

And Kenny is highly cool. I like him. Even if he disposed of his dreads...*tear*

Wednesday...School (Blek) GSA, got chewed out for not showing up to the last few meetings, got deeply frustrated with Tyler and somehow managed to keep from going bitch on her. I'm sorry, but I missed last week because I was activly trying to keep someone from being sad, and yes, I might have missed some meetings because of my own stupid frivolous reasons (I wanted to go home) but in all truth we're not doing anything Aiii! Grr.

And I...No. Stop. *falls silent*

Isn't it nice to know that the screeners in my brain ocassionally work?

Thursday: Aiiiii! day. School (blek), then straight to Therepy-types, where I got in an argument with Miss Debbie about clothes and modesty and showing off my body and stuff like that. She was having difficulty grasping that I don't dress the way I do because I don't like showing off my body (although I do prefer not being oogled). I dress the way I do because I'm sickingingly practical, and having as many pockets as possible is a wonderful thing. Plus, it's more comfertable, and it's nicer to *not* have to worry about leaning forward and showing whoever your talking to a bit more then you intended.

And, MY number one reason for why I don't wear low-cut shirts...I'm short. This means that most people are taller then me, and therefore have to look down to talk to me. Looking down my shirt = bad.

After therepy, straight to UMCP to work concessions at the basketball game in order to gain LondonMonies. Yay for that. It was...interesting. Pretty much a straight jam of people for two hours, and some crazy stress, what with running out of things. I was lucky, I didn't have to deal with any idiots. And afterwards, I got food. Yay that!

Friday: School, home...something. Oh yeah! 'twasn't home, instead, after school on Friday I got to go to Chipoltle with Beth (<3!!), Anne, Jenna, and Chris who is a band kid. That was way fun, and next time I need to remember to bring money/scrip instead of just stealing food from everybody. Afterwards, we went and explored the golf store, and me, Anne, and Beth watched the figure skating boys, and argued about which ones were cute, and which ones were gay.

Then the three of us cool peoples walked home, and did our homework. And played MASH. There was lots of MASH throughout, and poor poor Jenna. *grin*

Babysitting was relitivly normal, then chats, and discussing old embaressing pictures, and discussing weather you prefer to be tied up or do the tying. Clearly that should be a poll.

...I need a paid account again.

Yesterday...quiet, went over to Luna's and played Munchkin and watched this awesome movie called Wasabi. It was in French, but we had subs, so it was all good. And the main actressy girl is ohmygod hot. I had to keep forcfully distracting myself from the TV before I started drooling. Rohan kindly informed me my lesbianness was showing.

Then me and mom went and kidnapped Josh, and the three of us plus Aly got all dolled up and went to PIRATE FEAST! Yes!!

Pirate Feast was far too much fun. Only downside was that there were a few too many people who were a bit too drunk (I had one guy say I was cute and that he had a fetish for my glasses...I politely disentangled myself from THAT conversation, needless to say.) But there was DANCING! And Ahmigawds, I've missed dancing. So that was very happy.

And I learned that the vegan potato soup tasted very good with ham in it. Nicely ironic, too, which is always a tasty thing.

And DUDE! I got to see Amanda(Crazy friend of Bernies, fellow DnDer, and birthday-buddy) there, and she was wearing a loverly corset and looked really awesome.

And then we went home and zzzzzz.

So thats my life. How are you?

Leave a list of fictional characters in your journal that you would love to get a message from. It is your friend-list's mission, should they choose to accept it, to write you an in-character "letter" from a character on that list. Then they post their own list in their journal and the process continues!

First the obvious:
Violet (from ASoUE)
Vendette (Making Fiends)
Zaphod
Riff
Jack Sparrow

Then the less-so:
Davan
Bernard Black
Patsy (from MPatHG/Spamalot)
The Ravanous Bug-blatter Beast of Traal
Noah (Boy Meets Boy)
Ben (Marly's Ghost)
The Badger
Pac-Man
Black (From Spy vs Spy! L00na'd do it best)
Ford (From either of my Fords...or both!)
The King of All Cosmo's

I think thats quite enough charecters.

Triple quadruple quintuple bonus points to anyone who can take any of *my* charecters and write me a letter from one of them.

Stuff:
*It's been a week or something from my last real update. Oops.
*MOOP! is currently in a state of half melted disarray.
*Anyone want to help me capture an evil, EVIL basterd? His name is Malice, and he is going to die. Very very soon.
*It's hell week. Yep.
*Tyler broke herself again.
*I am going to spend as much as this afternoon as possible playing The Sims/Heros of Might and Magic three. (Last day of Winter-een-Mas, doncha know!!)
*I'm supposed to be doing research. Ah well, it's not hard or nuthin.

K_T stuff:
*I haven't written anything in a while
*I've been drawing a lot. Like, real drawings and stuff. They look really really good.

I would also like to point out that gossip is stupid, pointless, annoying and really dumb. As someone who has witnessed first hand what gossip can do, I know how things can snowball.

Recap:

Friday: Went alright, and then I got to babystitting. Oh my. Diane pointed out that DC (Dear Childe) was borderline sick, so if he fell asleep earlier or whatnot I shouldn't worry.

He was asleep when we got home. So, we put him to bed and Diane told me that if he woke up screaming or anything, and seemed to need his Mom (as opposed to this crazy pseudo-mom) to just call her since she was right next door. I was perfectly fine just watching him peacefully. Then he woke up. *headdesks*

I did wind up getting Diane, and she determnined that he prolly had a nightmare or somesuch, since he wasn't feeling as hot/feverish as he was when we put him to bed (hardly any temperature by that point) We wound up chatting for a bit, with Koob just snuggled up against Diane and it was rather nice. I like talking to people.

After she left, DC was his usual bundle of energy, I finally put him to bed 9:30ish and sang to him, and finally got online again around 10:15ish. And that was after just leaving him be since he didn't seem to have any interest in GOING TO SLEEP! Yipes!

Saterday: Aly's friend Natalie wound up coming over, which was cool(ish) I let them play the Sims on my computer while I played with Veronica and Nik and Dan. It was pretty fun. Natalie stayed the night, and I just generally hung out.

Sunday: Pretty good. I went to Jimmy-Grey (My youngest cousin on my moms side)'s B-day party, where mostly I hung out with mom and aunt sara, choosing to avoid the hordes of small children being obsessive about video games. Me and Nik then went over to Jernie and Boe's to play Halo and watch the transformers movie...we didn't finish it, which was a shame. Played a lot of Halo though.

I really really really really suck at Halo. Although, I achieved a new personal record: I killed someone all by myself! Twice even! It made me very happy. I also killed Andy since he was being a sweetheart and standing still so I could just shoot him a lot.

Transformers movie was very amusing. Gotta love the crazy things. I love the fact that the chickbot wears lipstick. Because, you know, she needs it.

Monday: Worked on some girl scouts stuff, and then went to the leader meeting. Which was cool, if a little long. I wound up inviting myself/getting invited to a younger girl troop via thursday to help them learn origami for thinking day.

Tuseday: Couldn't make up it's mind about weather it was a good day or a bad day. Felt incredibly fragile for no real reason in gymnastics and was ready to just start crying at the littlest things. Very annoying, especially since I had to forcefully refocus myself several times. I figured out what I was doing wrong via back handsprings though, so that was good. Maybe I'll be doing them by myself before the year is out.

Today: Was rather nice. Did the whole school thing until English, where I did the whole hang out with Becky and work on review thing. She had the complete HGttG with her and I had raptures over it all period. I didn't steal it though, which was good of me.

She said she got it at the mall, for only 16 dollars or somesuch. If I can find a compy for under 20$, I'm quite definently buying it for myself, so I have my own copy to deface highlight all the good quotes in.

It started snowing today about Englishtime. Someone looked out the window and pointed it out and adjuisted the blinds so everyone could see and it was exciting. Everyone was cheering and whatnot (not real loud or anything) and enjoying the fact that we have snow. *looks outside* It's still going right now, I reckon we have two, or maybe even three inches so far.

I like snow.

I walked home in it, which was nice, although a tad on the cold side (must remember to bring gloves tomorrow...) and Jeff offered me a ride, which is different. I declined, partly since I was enjoying the snow, partly because I was pretty close to home at that point anyway, and partly because his car skidded rather nicely as he pulled up to the curb next to me. No interest in getting into a car accident thanks. I've done that (albeit several years ago.)

Jaimee invited me to CoE again, which I hope to go to, although it occers to me that I should prolly hang out here and study and clean my room, and knock off things on my todo and whatnot. Sigh.

All for now.

EDIT: Since then, I've shovled the walk which isn't fun, found out that CoE is practiced, which works with my plans, and chatted with Kat, which is very fun.

Just put Sage and Pace to bed and am now abusing their internet...I like babysitting.

These two are VERY differnt from watching Koob...A LOT more energy I'd have to say.

Anyway, theres not really much to update about my life. No AIM which makes me sad since I'd love to continue that conversation I was having last night with Reth (BTW, Kat and Reth: I didn't log out on purpose. I went to get a drink, the computer logged me out, and then the parents came home, hence the reason I didn't say goodnbye. Also, if either of you are willing to send me a copy of that chat (if you have it) I will love you forever.)

So I'm just hanging out playing solitaire. And hearts. I really need to see if it's possible to get these back. hmmm...I wonder where my original installation CD's are...

Anyway, therese not really much else except for the fact that I apparently look like a young Inspy. I need to find a book and do it in the right pose...
