Dec. 3rd, 2008 03:41 pmBecause I didn't have enough things on my hands, I've decided to once again try to undertake a full-out sheissetagzunfixen project on my livejournal. Progress is...well...slow. I've got about the first dozen or so entries properly tagged --only 1420 (or so) to go!
Simultaneously, because I can never have just *one* distracting global thing to be working on on my computer (apparently) is that I've been playing with this loverly new spaces concept that came with leopard. I started with four, and am currently hovering at six, debating going up to eight or nine. It's the loverly concept of being able to have as many little projects going on as I'd like, with a whole separate desktop to devote to each!
(My current arrangement is two rows, three columns --itunes is in number three (top right corner), ical in number six (bottom right corner) Adium and other chat is in two (top middle) and interwobs is in one (top left corner). Tentatively, I've got five for projects, and four for...well, anything else.)
Of course, adding more spaces would make navigation from space to space more difficult. Moreso, I can only cleanly hit ^1-^4 with one hand, which makes other spaces just a step more difficult.
...I swear I'm not actually a computer nerd1. I just act like one sometimes.
THIS ENTRY IS BORING
THEREFORE, DINOSAURS!

*runs off before anyone can call her out on the distraction*

Art Update like so woah.
Jan. 10th, 2008 04:35 pmSoyeah. I've been drawing a bunch in the past two days, and scanning a BUNCH so I have a massive art update of assorted arts.
First off, yesterday I was randomly asking people on AIM what I should draw (I still am, so if you're in a conversation with me, I'll probably ask --sn is the same as my elljay name). While I haven't gotten around to drawing Tho, and VW minibuses appear to be beyond my current skills, I did manage to draw a lovely picture of meat for Keira.
Next is a couple of Highly Random fanarts for Sweeney Todd, both of which are indirectly the fault of OtherKat. She told me to draw something with pie, shoes, and pirates, so I drew Mrs. Lovett throwing a pie at a shoe stealing pirate and a picture from when I visited her, of Tobias Ragg being cute and tiny like a hamster.
Couple of old stuff from tenth/eleventh grade got scanned, including a picture of a zombie girl, and a sketch of my charecter Elektra Elliot.
Random crayon superhero doodles from an Access project: Tomato Eating Girl!, Werewulf, Master of Momitude! and Useless Girl!. And a non-superhero crayon drawing of me holding a nice big sledgehammer.
And, randomly, another picture of me holding a nice big sledgehammer. I may have mentioned this picture in my journal, it's from about a month ago, when I was pulling an all nighter for my last final and frustrated with the world.
Some random sketches and doodles from while Katters was visiting me -- an image of The Katters looking scared, some Glompage, The Katters as mixed with Bernard Black, and a very goth looking katter.
Last two pictures are illustrations to a somewhat creepy story Katters is writing about fictional!Katters, one for each of the chapters she's done. Warning, some crappily drawn blood and whatnot. The first one -- 'Reliving Old Memories' and the second one -- 'Because I have to write'.
That's all for now, but I'm on both drawing and scanning binges right now, so I'm sure you'll see more before too long.

Dec. 25th, 2007 11:23 amHey, Happy Christmas and/or December 25th, everyone!

*runs around bouncing!* Oh! And Nik got an xbox 360, and he is going to be in school all day starting soon. MUAHAHAH! And Aly got Rent, from Nik, and let out a squeal of shockingly awesome proportions! And everyone liked the presents I got them, and the pictures I drew on the wrapping paper, and my baby sister got a Trip-brand Corset (Which I have declared she is never allowed to wear *ever*) AND YAY IT'S CHRISTMAS I LOVE EVERYONE!
*runs around with the hugs and the squee!*

Dec. 12th, 2007 12:35 amBecause I think actually asking this to the person I have in mind might get me in trouble, do you or do you not approve of me calling you my cuddlebitch. And no, Eric, you don't get a choice. *evilgrin*
***
I am way too frigging pragmatic for my own good. "Meh, whatever" =/= proper response to...certain...situations. Fucking crypticness. Also, did I say this already? Goddamnit, this is why I originally only wrote in BehindtheWalls when I was off livejournal! I didn't have to worry about remembering what I had and hadn't posted. :P
***
Keira is apparently an older sister, bringing my total up to three. (Keira, WyoMell, and Zaphod Groupie) I'm not entierly sure what the criteria is, but it appears to be something along the lines of "female, awesomer then me, and older then me by no more then fiveish years.
I have a handful of older brothers too, but mostly the criteria there is "I can steal their clothes". There's some additional complications involving flirtation levels and rassling with them (reminds me, it's been forever since me and Josh have gone at it. Le sigh.)
(Take that as you will. I only say this because my mind is all sorts of hella dirty. :D)
***
I have the cutest origami paper ever. It is designed to look like a little bookshelf with books (with the paper being the pages of the books) The whole thing is decorated with little Japanese chibi animals. Eeeee, cute! Photos may very well show up later.
***
Origami is a suprisingly fast way to mellow me out. Primarily, I think it's the fact that, when folding cranes, I can't be doing much else, which means that if I'm alone and folding cranes, I'm not doing anything else but thinking. In addition, it's a repetitive, relaxing thing to do with my hands that *doesn't* involve playing with chains.
That, and there's something *damn* satisfying about turning a piece of paper into a mini sculpture. Especially since I'm still good at making incredibly tiny cranes.
***
Fuck later. You get ( hella cute pictures of my new origami paper thing NOW! )
In other news, have I mentioned lately that I love having a camera attached to my computer? No longer do I have to go dig up my camera and connect the cord and things if I want to show something neat off to someone! Simply hold up, clicky button, post to flickr, ???, PROFIT!
...Erm. Encyclopedia Dramatica ate my brain?
***
Dude, Another Fine Myth. Comic book. Is there any wrong?
(Besides the forty dollar price tag. WHY MUST MY HOBBIES BE EXPENSIVE?)
Allfornow.

Does anybody specifically want to see themselves chibified via my crap art skill?

ETA: Holycrap! Lots of you want chibis! Groovy. I'm just going straight down ( The List )
Once I've scanned your chibi, I will link to it above and in reply to your comment. If I see you in real life sometime in the next two months, I will give you the original then, if not, I can hopefully mail them.
ETA II -- Hokay, I don't have access to a scanner, but I do have a webcam. So me and my crappy webcam will take a pic of your chibi, so I can post it over in my dA gallary, and then I will send or hand you the original at a convinient time. If it's after I go home for the holidays, I will scan it properly too.

Jun. 18th, 2007 08:05 pmWhat I have been up to since the last time I posted:
Friday was lunch at the mall, where I got to see my BostonMommy (
persis) and hang out with cool people and AHM'GAWDS, I got TRAW back! Squeeeee!
Traw being my huge orange towel whom I love above all others. And yes, I was a bad hitchhiker and lost my towel, but before you get all morally superior at me, I knew exactly where Merde (My largish blue towel from Marks and Spencers) was at all times, and I went and bought Calender. (Who is bright green)
Yes, I name towels. Shh. Freak at work here.
Soyeah. I have all my towels now, which causes me to laugh evilly. Or be happy. Same diff.
Saturday I spent doing something. Oh! It was my brothers black belt testing, which was reasonably cool to watch. And he passed, so I now have a brother who is a black belt! Yayforhim!!
Then came movie night, which was "nights spent at museums" night. We watched The Hideaways, which is a *really* good adaptation of From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and Night at the Musuem, which is entertaining, and easily slashed.
Sunday I drove out to Pangea with Ksatyr (cute little vegan grocery store in Rockville) then came home, watched the second pirates movie for review, then went out with mum, the kids, Ksatyr, and Speaker2Animals to watch the third pirates movie.
( Cut for spoilers. Like the fact that Snape kills Trinity with Rosebud. )
And, because I'm me, I all kinds of dressed up for it, even though I was nearly a month late in seeing it. I looked bloody well awesome, though I'm not sure I bothered to take pictures. Lemme check my camera.
Nope, no pirate pictures. BUT, I do have one picture of my hair, after JenBark got done making it look exceptionally gorgeous at movie night. If I am a goddess of hair (Which I tend to believe, because my hair is incredible) then I maintain that Jen gets to be first priestess of my temple. Soyeah. CLICKY!
That's pretty much the end of my ramblings. I spent today sleeping, being jerked around by Target, dealing with an emotional sister, chillaxing with Ksatyr, and making a Vampire charecter. My charecter is a complete street rat, who keeps pretending to be respectable in order to screw around with the mortal politics, though she really doesn't have any sort of plan for them. She also does not yet have a name --I will have to fix that.
Annnnnnd I'm out. Byee!

Home from Camporee!
Apr. 29th, 2007 12:57 pmYah. So, this weekend, instead of slacking and catching up on shtuff, I went to Camporee! Camporee is a big girl scout tradition, where a whole heap of troops all go to camp and chill in the same spot and hang out/do activities together.
Which happens to be seriously fun. BUT, because us awesome Troop 999 girls got old without noticing or something, it was the last Camporee we got to go to as girls. Which was sad, and made both me and Veronica (
drama_angel3189) cry most pathetically.
( Babblings/Trip report )
And yeah. I'm beat. And at three-thirty or so, I'm booking for a party. Aieee.
In the meantime, I suppose I'll be slacking around online though. Catch you kids, kats, kittens, STGs, and...other folk later!

Oh yeah, I forgot...
Apr. 25th, 2007 03:46 pmThe fact that I still owe you lot an explanation as to why I totally wasn't around last weekend, namely, a prom-report!
So yeah. Prom was hella fun. I went with Nathen, which was extremely shrewd on my part as A) he is recockulously awesome and B) he knows how to swing dance, and even knows the same form of swing that I do. Which ROCKS!
Martins West was its usual loverly stuff, and full of delicacies like chocolate fondue fountains and smoothies and whatnot. And awesome chandeliers. Unfortunately, the DJ sucked large dead donkey balls, what with some sort of mental inability to finish a song, a clear lack of being able to tell the tempo of a song, and therefore having every song played having the exact same beat, and, of course, the complete and utter inability to play anything other then rap, even when requested several times.
Last year, they at least managed to play a half dozen or so rock and a few more techno songs. This time, he managed to play some techno...with a rap backbeat, and maybe six seconds of "Sweet Dreams are Made of This".
But, at least rap music is danceable, what with the whole "Having a strong beat" thing. And becaue Nathen rocks at dancing, I got to dance a bunch, and look fucking FABULOUS while doing so. I managed to dance with a whole bunch of people ("Okay, do you know how to keep beat? Just fake it in time to the beat. That's how you dance.")
So yeah. It was fun. Afterwards, a bunch of people crashed at my house and we watched movies all evening. I wound up staying awake for about 38 and a half hours straight, minus about an hour and a half spent dozing in the middle of "The Breakfast Club" (But I woke up in time for the dancing, so it was all good) and some time spent napping with Ksatyr before running off to the annual Stoneridge Book Sale.
( Pictures behind the cut! )
That is all.

Soyeah. Life
Apr. 18th, 2007 04:44 pmLast senior meeting before I graduate was today. Because, you know, I'm totally ready to end the thirteen (counting kindergarden) year process of public education.
More drawings. I'm planning on actually inking/colouring these before I post them, so none for you.
I need a catch-up on everything day. *sigh* Not *this* weekend, certainly. Saturday is prom (I have a dress finally -yay!) and Sunday I'm going out to Luna's.
Ksatyr forced picasa onto my computer. I haven't played with it much yet, but I certainly don't mind it. The problem is that it's a bit erratic about grabbing my files --It didn't grab a single icon I have on my machine, for instance, and I know they're in the right folders. Does Picasa ignore things if they're a certain size?
I may have it do-over and only pull actual photos. We'll see.
Annnnnnnd I gotta go clean my room. Needless drama today, WAY too much overdue drama on Monday...it's been a bad week, apparently. And that's completely ignoring the fact that thirty-three perfectly healthy people are suddenly dead. *sigh*
On the plus side, Veronica got nominated for the Best Actress in a Play cappie. Yay for her!!
Off to the room. Bai!

I have been drawing like a madwoman!!
Mar. 20th, 2007 04:50 pmYeah, this is just an ArtDump. But it is an artdump of AWESOME!!
First up, we have a loverly sketch of Magus in all his Hippie Pirate glory. Why am I drawing Magus? I don't actually know, especially as A) I don't draw real people very well, and B) I haven't seen him since New Years.
Thirdly is me being WAY loopy after Giving Blood. Just a cute little doodle.
Secondly, fourthly, fifthly, and sixthly are all pictures of Hyde in one fashion or another. He has INVADED my HEAD!!! Well, my muse at least. He is fun to draw though, so I don't object. Anywho:
Just one of those Mornings... which is mildly graphic -a few dead corpses scattered around, made milder by the fact that I can't draw corpses. Besides that, this is a really excellent picture --Hyde turned out WAY Spift.
Hyde's Room is just me sneaking into Hyde's room to draw him curled up reading, which he does a phenomenally high amount of the time. Amusing for his "To Do" list.
Be Careful What You Wish For. is Hyde surrounded by babes and the most Femme Zaphod I will ever draw in my life. I swear, nothing I could do could make him look like a male, and I wasn't about to give him a raging boner. (Or two. Whatever.)
Like a MADWOMAN! came about when I told Ksatyr I had been drawing Hyde like a madwoman. Being the silly boi he is, he immediately wanted to see this picture of Hyde as a madwoman. So I had to draw it. NOTE: I suck at drawing cheesecake-chicks like woah.
Annnnnnnnnnnd that's all! Have a good day.

So
OtherKat sent me the link to what may have been the BEST MEME EVER!
I am so serious about this.
Basic story was that this chick was bored. So she demanded threads of swoon worthy pictures. Each comment has a name, and a picture, and replys to that comment have other pictures.
And then anyone who reads it, swoons a lot. Happilly. Like I've been doing since yesterday, when Katters linked me to the David Tennant thread.
But yeah. Original entry is right Here.
Some swoonthreads that I pulled for people I especially love:
*Orli-love for Veronica.
*A certain lesbian witch from Buffy for Ksatyr
*A certain blonde vampire from Buffy for mom
*Ewan McGregor for my absative favourite barkeeper
*That stubbornly unravished pirate chick for ShadowKev
*Frodo for Aly
*My second favourite Captain Jack (And MAN is it close) for Elise
*And, of course, My Doctor For me. Me, me, me, me, me, me, ME!
(and why aren't there more pictures of The most beautiful actress in the world?)
Some comment along the way said it best -- "Best use of the 'Track This Comment' feature ever."

I gots a new icon!
Dec. 28th, 2006 10:29 pmSpent the day at the farm, enjoying the fact that the camera I got for christmas has a whopping sixteen MB of space on its memory card.
Sixteen. Megs.
That translates to 44(ish) pictures at 1280 x 960 pixels each in standard quality, whatever that means. I could turn the size down to 600 by something pixels, but see, I don't want to.
I need a bigger memory card.
BUT AT ANY RATE!
I took this quite excellent picture of myself, wearing the totally sexy rainbow hat that Whymydiddle gave me for Holiday. THANK YOU!

Scan-fest!
Apr. 27th, 2006 07:08 pmAlright. I've been drawing bunches lately, and that means you guys get to admire it all! Whoot!!
Tapestry of the Universe!: Um...yes. It's rather surreal. Quite different from my normal style.
Daraius Nimbleton: He's one of my neopets. Anthroized!
"What Ho, Apothocary?": This is the picture that requires the most and will give the least explanation. Suffice to say, it's event from a long time ago, that have been called to mind simply by being backstage. But that's ok, because the memories are happy ones, and the bitterness has long since ebbed.
Just some sketches of Bat-Me
A really good sketch of my friend Becky
An oldish sketch of my girlfriend
Sketch one of Death (From Sandman)
Sketch two
OtherKat requested that I draw a dragon, holding a fork and a skull. This is what you lot get.
Another sketch of Bat-me, this time in formalwear.
Another view of the lounge. With Her. And Alis. And me.
And lastly, some dragged-up spyslash for you lot (especially Madam L00na) to enjoy.
That is all. Off to panic and stuff.

More Scanny Goodness...blame ToD
Apr. 6th, 2006 08:41 pmYeah. well.
Kilt Wars part 4.2
Kilt Wars part 4.3
Thats not technically for ToD. That ones for Kat, and Ford. And yes, it's different versions of the same picture. Give me input on which you like better, please.
One of my dares was that I had to draw a picture of Zaphod. Making out with...Zaphod.
Hell, two heads has to be good for SOMETHING!
Other dare? An embaressing photo of myself. I was tempted to go with the mystery bride, but no. Here you go. Sleeping Beauty.
