BECAUSE WE HAVE ROCKBAND WOOOOOO!!! \mm/ (< - too much rock for one hand)

In other news, word of the day is "rockblock". It is the rocking out equivilant of 'cockblock'

(Have I mentioned that my dad is awesome? My dad is awesome.)

ETA: The three of us decided that our band will be 'Epic Suburbia'. I would still like to know your favourite fictional band names, or what you will call your band.

My next band will be called "Raptors! In the Ballroom" Yes, I swiped the styling from panic! at the disco. But it's better, because it has *raptors*. And *ballrooms*.

Hey, Happy Christmas and/or December 25th, everyone!

Lewt, and some old pictures of me. )

*runs around bouncing!* Oh! And Nik got an xbox 360, and he is going to be in school all day starting soon. MUAHAHAH! And Aly got Rent, from Nik, and let out a squeal of shockingly awesome proportions! And everyone liked the presents I got them, and the pictures I drew on the wrapping paper, and my baby sister got a Trip-brand Corset (Which I have declared she is never allowed to wear *ever*) AND YAY IT'S CHRISTMAS I LOVE EVERYONE!

*runs around with the hugs and the squee!*

(((And no, you didn't miss part 1 --I haven't posted it yet.)))

Bowling with Santa

Bowling with Santa is awesome. It really really is. Basically, the bowling alley that mom goes to for her league offers some reasonable bargain for two games of bowling, shoes, hotdog, soda, and getting to see Santa. We've been going since roughly '98 or so, and it's terribly fun, especially as Santa remembers us, because he is a really awesome guy. (But you all knew that, didn't you?)

This year was the five of us in the family, [livejournal.com profile] aramintamd and her two daughters, and [livejournal.com profile] lonebear and [livejournal.com profile] giraffeaholic, which meant we had an even split between the adults and the kids. Seeing as us kids had bumpers, to keep our balls out of the gutter, it was a pretty even match, which was good. The first game, everyone just played at a reasonable level (except mom who had an epicfail game --I actually beat her) but by the second game, the youngest of Araminta's had dropped out, and Aly had gone all "bleeh" and was done, which meant that I was bowling for three people. Which is killer fun, let me tell you, especially if you don't take yourself seriously.

By the second half, Aly had come back in, and the two of us got a little bit...hyper about the bowling. We spent the last three frames throwing the balls down the alley together, and just being goofy. Which is totally fun --Aly and I have always been good about getting really silly together and screwing around.

And yeah. Yay bowling. Santa came by, of course, and I told him that I wanted RockBand and more suspenders* and 'stuff like that'. He gave us candy canes, because Santa is just a generally cool guy like that. Me and Aly spent a lot of our not-bowling time in each others laps, chatting. I danced with both of Araminta's daughters, and with Koob (who came by to visit) and Aly, a little. General mayhem and all that.

I really like my family.

*My suspenders are *awesome* They are (debatably) also hott, with two "t's". I bought them yesterday at Commander Salamanders, and they are black, and I have sworn to wear them every day until the end of time because I like them so much. I've already broken that particular promise, however, seeing as I'm not currently wearing them.

My hair *is* still in two braids with bells on the end, so I suppose that's good. Phear the cute?

Stollen for Active_Apathy )

Yay memes. Damnit, now I really really want it to be Christmas. Rar!

If you are a maths type person, and you somehow missed it, the unfairly beautiful [livejournal.com profile] heptadecagram posted a geometry problem from hell for us to solve. So far, I know of at least two people who are stuck on it, not counting myself, and one person who may be doing it, in between driving places.

***

I spent about half an hour today with my hair taped to a wall. This was SIGNIFICANTLY AWESOMER then the hour and a fucking HALF I spent in a shuttlebus today, crammed between/on Kate Monster and Dominik.

...yeah, that's everything.

So, I've been busy rereading the archives of xkcd, which *continues* to be the most amazing comic...ever.

And *damn* I want a "Just shy --Not Anti-social!" t-shirt. I may have to get mum to order me one when she gets home. Because that is a beautiful shirt.

*************

So, music babblings. I was gonna do the "Movie soundtrack meme" but it turned out quite lame. SO you get some percentages instead.

I have, at this moment in time, 2980 songs. Which is a good deal of music --9.11 Gigs, or about 6 and 2/3 days.

Of this music selection:

03.22% is Weird Al (96/2980)
04.97% is random, generally Indie, music that Tho has sent me (148/2980)
24.23% is showtunes (722/2980)
03.42% is TMBG (102/2980)
01.84% is related to RHPS (55/2980)
01.51% turns up when I enter the letter "Q" into the searchbox (45/2980)
07.45% is the H2G2 related (radioplays, movie soundtrack, and Marvin songs.) (222/2980)
01.64% is Schoolhouse Rock (49/2980)
03.46% is some sort of Christmasish Music (103/2980)
08.52% has never been played (254/2980)
00.70% has been played more then 100 times. (21/2980)
00.17% has been played more then 200 times. (5/2980)

Any other percentages you'd like to see?

...You know what this reminds me of? My LONG SINCE DEFUNCT project where I was assigning songs to peoples elljays for...some reason. I think it was so I could be "I'm bored. Who's elljay am I gonna read the whole of today?"

At any rate...that activity crashed messily. Haven't touched it at least half a year, maybe more -I've still got Tho unlisted, for crissakes, and he's CERTAINLY rectified that particular musical problem. (((Hum, "Only Anarchists are Pretty" or "Up Against It"? Oh, questions...)))

...also, why is Ms Hecabus listed with Mrs Robinson? I'ma gonna assume she was quoting from it at one point...or...something. Yeeeeeeah. Like I said, WOEfully out of date.

...I'm out. See ya kids later.

Hullo all, happy holidays! I'm just ruthlessly abusing my downtime in between opening one set of presents and the next in order to come and squee about all the Excellent Lewt I got.

Things of note:
* New Boxers! I have ones with dragons and ones with tools on them. Both are boyboxers (win!) and comfy and Yay!
* A new, 2 GB, Camel. It's less then two inches long and is so very very adorable. Erm, and by camel, I mean usbkey. Same diff. :D
* Sushikit! So I can make my VERY OWN SUSHI! Yay! *pouncehugs Thorog* Thank yuuuu! Now I can be even MORE like my favorite oldersister!
* Robin Hood!!!!! A DVD version of the absolute best Disney movie there ever was. I got my fox! *smiles stupidly*
* V for Vendetta A DVD version of, well, sexy freedom-fighter/terrorist Hugo Weaving and bald Natalie Portman (Dad's and Kats of the house agree --Natalie Portman = HOT!)
* Jones Soda in five pie flavours. I have soda that tastes like pie. Brill!
* New fishnets (black) new belt (black with skullandcrossbones) and shoelaces (brightasfuck orange)
*GEETAR HERO TWWWOOOOO!! I have not yet begun to play with it, but I assure you, it will be gooood.
*Dad's old Digital Camera! *laughs evilly* I need to get the chargerwhatsit, but that's all good.
*Raspberry scented body shimmer (?) with a pouf. Apparently, whoever loads stockings seems to think I'm a girl. But it does smell quite good, and c'mon, it comes with a POUF! Poufs are like loofahs only smaller and girlier!

And, of course, I have gotten other thngs as well, including enough candy to ensure my teeth rot straight through. Tasty! And we as a family got the third Sandman book (Only...eight...left to get now. :p) and the first Get Fuzzy book (I think) and lots of other movies, and the ASoUE CD with all the songs from all the audiobooks on it (Take note [livejournal.com profile] madamluna --it looks *fun*) and Yaaaaaaay!

I am having a good christmas. I hope all of you are as well.

Love and hugs and stuff.
~Sor

((Oh, and other good christmas things? I got to call Tho yesterday! We, as he puts it "talked for far too long about nothing at all, but was indeed a wonderful present."))
