I don't normally do New Years Resolutions (in part because my changing years line up much sharper with my birthday and the school year than the calendar), but I have put together the right pieces of one for this year, and I'd love for you to help.

There are 125 stations on the T (not counting silver line or commuter rail). I wanna take pictures of myself at all the stations! And it would be even better if I took pictures of myself-and-a-friend at all the stations!

Throughout the year, I would love to hang out with you and go on a Journey To A T-Station with you sometime. Doesn't have to be a long adventure --an hour or two, here or there. We could ride the T to them, or bike, or walk or even take the ferry to one or two.

But this is the official "I'm gonna start thinking about this" post, and if you're interested in being in one of my T-station-selfies, please let me know! Especially if you have a particular stop in mind that you love.

(And if I'm visiting your non-Boston town, I will _absolutely_ fill whatever eventual Flickr gallery I make with photos of your subway stations too! But I'm not gonna count those ones up)

"So, wait, are you going to do that every week?"

Yeah, probably. Also, pretend it's Thursday, and not Saturday. If it helps, I *took* this picture on Thursday, sitting in Ezri's living room.

And yes, that's where I actually am in the book just now. Happy Thursday(ish)

This is a picture of me reading The Pirate's Mixed Up Voyage, by Margaret Mahy. It is the single best book in the universe, or at the very least, my favourite. It is also my security blanket.

I own three copies, because of a brilliantly nice anonymous friend who sent me a few extras. I read it approximately once every six months, based on how often I need it. My favourite line is "...for in times of great stress a good book is often all the comfort you can reasonably expect to find", my favourite character is Hermione Hatchett (and I *will* cosplay her someday!!), and my favourite fantasy involves...god, I can't even remember anymore, it's been ages since I actively had a crush on Brace and Bit. Don't you fucking dare judge me. He wears glasses.

Yes, maybe you can borrow a copy, but not until September, because I only have one copy for the summer, and I learned the hard way that me not having access to any copy of this book puts me in such a bad place, you have _no idea_. Also, I need Ria to return the copy she's got borrowed. *narrows eyes* BAD FUTURE ROOMMATE!

Booooook.

Every rare once in a while, I will, for no apparent reason, filk my life into whatever song appears to fit.

This was today's adventure (apologies to John and John)

Where do they Sell Kazoos?

Paper Source sells paper
The deli's selling food
Grocery store sells flowers for the girls who will be wooed
J.P. Licks is Ice Cream
Joeys is for Thai
Goodwill's full of lots of things, I guess I better try

'Cause where?
Where do they sell kazoos?
Oh where?
Where do they sell kazoos?

Rosie's is a bakery
Scottish Import's gone
Joie de Vivre ought to work, but inventory's wrong.
Greenward is for hippies
Tokai is for gifts
Ace is for construction, toilitries from CVS

But where?
Where do they sell kazoos?
Where?
Where do they sell kazoos?

Kazooooooos. Kazoooooooos! Kazoooooos. Kazooooooos!

Porter Square's a T-stop
Davis is as well
Harvard Square might be right, but getting there is hell
Damn my feet are tired
Been walking all the day
Just try Stellabella, if they have them I will pay

And there
There's where they sell kazoos
There!
There's where they sell kazoos!

ANYWAYS:

Work is a bitch. Yes, we've all gotten that far.

Example: I am working Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday of this weekend. This is a really sucktastic thing, especially as it means I can't help mom with the driving up to Maine that I was going to do.

Point: Harry Potter VII comes out this weekend.
Point: This entry lists a BRILLIANT idea of mine.
Point: I wasn't going to be able to do the above brilliant idea, because I was going to be in Maine.
Point: I won't be in Maine this weekend.

Add all points together, and what does it equal?

So! Assuming that my father would be willing to let all of us crazy people stay up all night in our pyjamas, who would be interested in coming out to The Empty City (AKA my house) with their copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and taking turns reading it aloud until we either finish it or all fall asleep?

[Poll #1023772]

And now, I have to go clean my room. And OHYEAH! Keep in mind that this might be all sorts of canceled if Dad doesn't approve. I will let you know once I've talked to him.

EDIT: Dad has given the go-ahead! We are GO!

P.S: I won't actually have a copy of the book, so SOMEONE has to bring theirs. --mine is coming via Amazon, and probably won't arrive until Saturday morning sometime.

Icon idea

Hoooookay. So. Anyways.

A long time ago, Harry Potter 4 came out in movie form. I saw it, was thoroughly unimpressed, and determined to ignore it for the rest of time.

A slightly less long time ago, I was introduced to David Tennant. (Get a copy of "Army of Ghosts" playing, and I can get you to the exact moment I was introduced to the Whofandom) This was a totally groovy thing.

Sometime less time ago then that, I correlated the facts that David Tennant was in Harry Potter with the fact that we don't actually own that monstrosity. So I moped, and resolved to watch him sometime when I was given the oppertunity.

Today, my brain FINALLY kicked into gear, and I remembered that YouTube solves all problems.

So. My question is this. Does anyone have the ability to make an icon of Tennant!Crouch with the whole bishie snarl crazy and a caption of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours"? Cause man, that shit makes me giggle like a ferret stuck in a pixie stick factory.

So, the moral of this entry? Sweaty dirty crazy Tennant is *such* a good thing. Secondary moral? If the Harry Potter industry continues using Tennant as an actor, maybe it can be saved.

Good ideas shattered! Evil. EVIL I SAY!

Or, in other words, my totally spift-tastic idea of having a big "stay up late and read Harry Potter" party (See previous entry) has been totally smashed up by Bad Timing, namely that I'll be in/going towards Maine the night it comes out.

Damn these camps that make it so I have no siblings all summer! No wait, I take that back. But damn my inability to plan parties for days I'm actually here.

(((Although, this does leave us with the alternitive of postponing it for a few days* (hahahah, like anyone won't have read the book by then) or simply handing the whole party over to someone else (Sir Hectadecagram?) and having them host it. Thoughts?)))

~Sor
MOOP!

*Double advantage of the postponement theory is that we can start at a rational hour, like six, instead of a "everyone's starting to fall asleep anyways" like one.
sorcyress: Drawing of me as a pirate, standing in front of the Boston Citgo sign (Default)
Alright, so, since I just finished rereading the first Harry Potter book (Since the last one is coming out on the 21st of July and if you didn't know that I think you must live under a rock) and since there has to be some sort of exceptionally dork-tastic party to celebrate, who would be interested in the idea of having a huge group of people congrugate at my house release night and reading the damn book aloud to each other until we've either finished it or all fallen asleep.

I'm thinking it would be a sort of "everybody charges off to whatever bookstore they're getting a copy from and then meets back at The Empty City, books in hand, so that we can begin reading." Plus, that way you negate any arguments between who gets to read it first in such a family.

Dress code would either be "come in your house colours" or "come in your comfy pyjamas". I haven't quite decided yet.

Yeah. Is this a good idea y/n?

Before I forget:
Ericness: Fwen we get seasons two and three of Black Books, do I have to wait for you to show up again before I can watch them? because that's terribly unfair, I'll have you know.

Other stuff:
I've been partying at skiing the last weekend! I'm a bit sore, but satisfied. Before that I was sick a whole bunch which was Not Fun besides watching stuff.

Watching TV is SO not on my list of things. Seven and a half hours...oy. =>.<;=

Jelly beans were a good invention except for the licorice flavoured ones. Clearly I need to get together with Lily sometime soon to feed her them. Excpet I keep eating them anyways, because I'm that sort of person. Soooooooooooo...thank you Eric. And see, I *was* good that time round, I didn't gel your hair.

...sigh.

Bitterwaitress is a very...unique look on it all. I still think I'd prefer it to being a movie-bitch or counter-bitch though. Except, I'd have to carry a spare notebook and scrawl down my story ideas about all the people I serve.

I really should go to the mall with a notebook sometime. Scrawl down what everybody is. "Oh yes, that couple there, they're pretty happy except for the fact that he's really cheating on her, and those two, who aren't quite touching, they wish they were confident enough to hold hands, but someone might see and tell her mother that they're lesbians and that would be the end, and wow! What a cute boy, he totally dresses all punkish at night and goes clubbing"

Yes, I invent lives. Shut up, it's just what I do. It's a large part of what the main body of Elsewhere is.

I should make a new paint-creation. A map of my mind!

Bah. I'm sorry, but I've had enough catching up. I'll do it later. And I know there are less of you since I've decided only to bother with half or so of you, but I'm still faaaaaar behind.

Caught up on the drugswebcomics though! Theres another thing I need to do, a dissertation of all those I read right now. Hmmmmmm...Thats next, methinks. Ta!

I have begun drawing a family tree. Good idea? noooooo...

Because it's me, this is a COMPLETE family tree. It has all my wives, all my 'siblings' both clones, and my concubines. Plus, SO's of many of the people involved, which turns it into a fairly incestuous tree what with everyone dating their siblings, and yeah...

So thats my new goal. I will post piccies when I'm done.

Todays been, oddly enough, not high on my list. Just hit that whole melencholy thing again. How frustrating.

Yeah, you know you're in trouble when you start listening to the end of Sweeny Todd (gotta love shuffle) and your brain goes "Wow. How utterly appropriate to my mood."

I want to see Sweeny Todd. I've heard the entire soundtrack, and I know the story, and it's just...awesome.

In other news, this morning sucked since dad woke me up out of a REALLY cool dream. Possibly one of the coolest ones I've ever had. It was really long, but I don't remember much, only that it had to do with me being in a victorian type era and being, if not a vampire hunter, thourgholy against the whole vampire thing.

At the end of the dream, just before I was woken up, the basic storyline was that I was the 16-17 year old daughter in a family of three. I had a younger brother who was about...8ish? maybe younger. And an older "brother" who was about 20 and a vampire. He was going downstairs one night and I saw that he had turned translucent (apparently vampires turn translucent when their indoors and hit by moonlight) and I was trying to remember what you said to vampires in the moonlight to make them dissapear.

I did, but by this point he was out of the moonlight. He was effectivly trapped though since the stairs were completely moonlit and I was just waiting for him to step out of the dark.

It was a really really cool dream. I'm definently thinking about writing this one into a story.

Day camp started up again. I had no mixed feelings about it-I love day camp. A lot.

KAWA'S HAIR LOOKS UBERSEXY!!! TAMB*, and anyone else who would know her, it looks sooooooooo aawesome. I love it. *sighs happily*

And in similar news, I have decided to dye my hair sublime green at the tips. It will look awesome.

Other things:

I have an examinate mood. This is cool. I plan on using it a lot.

MY MAIL IS WORKING AGAIN!!

Although, checking your mail to find 8 messages worth of not-very-important stuff is saddening.

Mah room...

sorcyress: Drawing of me as a pirate, standing in front of the Boston Citgo sign (Default)
Is getting there. Except, I'm really lazy and haven't bothered to clean up everything thats laying on the floor.

My ideal vision for my room is to eventually have it converted into a forest. I'm thinking lots and lots and lots of fake vines (you can get them at Jo-Annes etc =D) with flowers everywhere, and green painted walls.

Ok, so what I really want is forest type murals painted on my walls, but that won't work, since I can't draw worth beans, and I want it to look at least semi realistic if I have it.

I figure, once I get everything cleaned up, (and this includes getting rid of everything I don't need!!) that I can begin making intense plans for what I need to make it look good.

I love interior decorating. God, I'm SUCH a nerd.

Anyway, this is a general warning that my room is not going to remain looking the same.

Yes, yes, I will try and get pictures...

I figured out what I want to do with at least two of my nonexistent blank white t-shirts.

Let me start by saying that I really want to take a whole bunch of white t-shirts and draw on them. Thats the type of thing that makes me happy.

With one, I want to write "Got Sluggy?" on the front in black, and on the back, I want to write "I do! www.sluggy.com"

With the second, I simply want to draw the pun demon on the front, and just go lurk in various places. Especially if theres punning going on :)

I can think of more, easily, I just don't feel like it right now.
