sorcyress: Just a picture of my eye (Me-Eye)
As you all ought to know, someday I will rule the world. When that happens, you will all be my subordinates. Not slaves, exactly, more like everybody I know becomes the equivilant of a younger sibling--if I want a sandwichdrink or something, then you have to go make me one.

Anyways. When that happens, I figure there ought to be some sort of resource for making me sandwichesdrinks, and not doing something heinous like putting mayonaise onwater in them or something1. Todays lesson is:

How to make Kat hot cocoa:

Ingredients/Supplies:
A smallish pot
A stove
Some milk (eight ounces is probably right)
Some hot cocoa (I have no taste buds; from a packet is generally fine)
A mug
A stirring spoon
A mixing spoon

Recipe!

1: Put the milk in the pan, put the pan on the stove, and set the stove to no hotter than medium.

2: Use the bit of time you have before the milk gets hot and requires full attention to put the cocoa powder in the mug.

3: Continue to heat the milk, stirring it with the stirring spoon to keep it from boiling or burning or scalding or sticking to the pot. If the milk boils, or burns, or scalds, or sticks to the pot, so help you, I will not be a happy queen.

4: Once the milk is quite hot (I test by placing a drop on my inner wrist --when I go "ow!" and jerk away, it's probably perfect) pour it carefully into the mug.

5: Using the mixing spoon, mix the cocoa and milk thoroughly.

6: Deliver the cocoa to me. Be proud of a job well done.

Have a nice day!

1: I'm kindof a big fan of not having watered down drink. Yes, this goes as far as to include ice in soda (and in apple juice, dear airlines, why the fuck would you put ice in juice, gods!), so I'll be unhappy with you if you mess up.

(((This blast from the past brought to you from one year, seven months, and four days ago today.)))

Soyeah. Roundabouts February, I decided to start keeping track of the status messages I use on my IM. This is the second collection (hit the tag 'statusmessages' to get the first), and unlike the first, it's not complete (I tossed out the boring ones) and semi-annotated.

It's still hella long though, and therefore behind a cut )

Also:

Me: *for reasons too complex to go in to* Stupid male recovery period.
Josh: You want to know the real reason for the male recovery period?
Me: yeah?
Josh: It's so we can go get you a sandwich.
Me: ...What?
Josh: See, you're all spent and worn out and hungry. And so we go get you a sandwich.
Me: Josh, I hope you realize that you have just damned the man who takes my virginity. Because it'll be all "Oh wow, that was great, now, get me a sandwich!" and he'll be all like "Huh?"

As you all ought to know, someday I will rule the world. When that happens, you will all be my subordinates. Not slaves, exactly, more like everybody I know becomes the equivilant of a younger sibling--if I want a sandwich or something, then you have to go make me one.

Anyways. When that happens, I figure there ought to be some sort of resource for making me sandwiches correctly, and not doing something heinous like putting mayonaise on them or something1. Todays lesson is:

How to make Kat a tunafish sandwich

Ingrediants/supplies:
A 6oz can of tuna fish
Some ranch dressing
Dill pickle relish
3-4 small dill pickles
2 slices of bread
one fork
one bowl
cutting board
knife
plate
can opener

Recipie!:
Step one: Use the can opener to open the can of tunafish. Drain the water into the sink, and use the fork to get all the actual tuna into the bowl. Then rinse the can out and recycle it.

Step two: Pour some ranch dressing into the bowl, and mix with the tuna. The tuna should lighten by a couple of shades --if it doesn't change colour, dollop some more dressing in.

Step three: Wash the fork off, and use it to dollop some dill relish into the bowl. About two forkfuls is all you need. Mix it all up.

Step four: Take the actual pickles and put them on the cutting board. Dice the pickles with the knife, then add them to the tuna. Mix well.

Step five: (OPTIONAL) Taste the tunafish to see if it is satisfactory. If nessecary, add more ranch dressing, dill pickles, or relish at this point.

Step six: Spread the tunafish onto one of the slices of bread, then place the other slice on top and squish it down. You will probably have too much tunafish --you can either bring the leftover tunafish to me to eat, or eat it yourself.

Step seven: Deliver the tunafish to me. Be proud of a job well done.

[/recipie]

Uhm, yeah. Keep tuned for other important recipies, like how to make Kat a bowl of spaghettios, or how to make Kat some instant pudding. Man, it's been FOREVER since I've had instant pudding.

Have a nice day!

1: Putting mayonaise on a sandwich intended to be eaten by me is an offense punishible by death, or at least a couple hours confined to the dungeon. Yes, this will be an actual law.

CW from a future-Kat. First comment.

So I think you should all write an entry briefly describing the main players in your life and then link it from your userinfo/journal so that people can reference it in future. It would be handydandy. (Stolen from OKat, through friends of hers)

Sounds like a plan to me! Lets go then:

Real Life Family:
Mom: Mom is...mom. She's also [livejournal.com profile] werewulf, whic not everyone realizes. She is the coolest person I have ever met in my life, and I would LOVE to be like her someday. She's also EVERYONE's mom, so that's cool too.

Dad: Dad is a much more absent member of the drama that is my life. He's around though, and he's pretty cool when he is. He's much more introverted then mom, and more type-A. He is going to help me create my roleplaying world.

Nik: Nik is my younger brother (Who just turned 15 yesterday...bytheway HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHANIE AND NEVA!!!) who is a wiz at video games and a bit of a dork. I get along really well with him though, especially when it's just the two of us walking home. We talk cool stuff.

Aly: Aly is my younger sister (turned 13 in April) who is a complete and total Drama Queen. She's amusing though, most of the time, and the two of us can get VERY silly sometimes. (EDIT: 12Nov2k6: She now has an elljay! Go read over at [livejournal.com profile] tolkienkookad.)

Additional Family: (ie, people who are over at my house a LOT)
Veronica: Veronica is my best friend of nearly ten years. I love her more then a lot of other people, and am willing to do a LOT to protect her. (I've definently been known to threaten people who make innuendos I deem inappropriate to her) She goes by [livejournal.com profile] drama_angel3189

Eric: Eric is a tall skinny band-geek who is my cuddle-bitch whore boi. (Damnit Eric, that just doesn't have the same ring to it!) He's one of the shed bois, and I rather like him. He has a very fuzzy head, especially just after he is evil. (EDIT: As of 20/June/2k6, he is dating Veronica) (EDIT: As of sometime before 21/Dec/2k7, he is no longer dating Veronica.)

Chris: Chris is the second of the shed-boys, and one of my unofficial ex's, along with, I dunno, Rohan. I have a remarkably unofficial love life. I adore him too, and he gives some of the best hugs EVER. So that's yay for him.

Josh: Josh is one of the few teens who I actually think of as an older brother. He's a serious kung-fu boy, and the third shedboy. He gets mad at me when I steal his shirts, and flirts with mom a LOT.

Jaimee: Jaimee is the most amazing person I have ever met besides mom. I love her dearly, and most of the time, she's my older sister. (EDIT: 12Nov2k6: Jaimee my darling sister is now better know as Nathen my darling brother. Also, find him at [livejournal.com profile] musikmaker21

Blue: Blue is the name I most commonly use for my girlfriend. Yeah... And by girlfriend, I mean ex. July 13 2k5 - June 25 2k6. Just under a year. *sighs* So goes life.

Ksatyr: Ksatyr ([livejournal.com profile] ksatyr) is one of those crazy brit-type who somehow wound up in this country. He is good fun and a huge flirt, both of which I support. He became my boyfriend on February 22nd 2007. He became my ex-boyfriend on December 2nd 2007.

Spam: Spam ([livejournal.com profile] madbodger) is a terribly awesome guy who I hang out with when I get the chance. He let me borrow a truly sexy little laptop called Tabitha for NaNoWriMo 2006. He rules.

ShadowKev: ([livejournal.com profile] shadowcaptain) ShadowKev is the one who first took my virginity. Perpetual hurrahs for the Rocky Horror Picture Show. He continues to be my ride to all things both Satanic and Mechanic, and for that he most certainly deserves a mention.

Koob: Koob is amazing. He is five as of this writing, autistic, and fun. I used to babysit him. I'm depressed that I don't anymore, but hey, it's all cool I suppose.

College People:

Grace: Grace is my roommate. She's exceptionally mellow, more normal then I, and our social groups don't cross at all. We get along very well though.

Lauren: Lauren is pretty much my best friend at Lesley. She's full of hackeysack and snark. Her and her twin sister, Emily, are much more pure then I am. *evilgrin*

Emily: Lauren's twin sister and my next closest friend. She has a boyfriend -Ty- and tends to be slightly more prudish. She is the more goth of the two.

Dominik: Austrian vampire gentleman. Very good friend of me and the twins. Totally more sexual then us girls. Totally the luckiest guy on campus. Stalkable. Smoker.

Mary: Dominik's girlfriend. Short, shy, quiet, nice, generally non-jealous.

Madeline: My first friend from Lesley. Total dyke. :D

Jess: Friend with which I do Interesting Things. Hippy enviromentalist lesbian.

Beth: Senior(?) drama girl, big, curvy, BEAUTIFUL, awesome.

Online People:

Katters/Crackers/OtherKat/OKat/Kat/RTC/etc... is my clone. She's also the person who I'm mentally closest too, and most open to (Sorry V) Also also, she's the one who taught me that it's feasible to miss someone you've never met. She is also a huge part of my mental stability, and knows better then near anyone how to dick that up, mostly because she's seen what causes me to go into little mental breakdowns. I write her letters when I'm sad, which makes me no longer sad, and I then neglect to ever send them, in order to avoid making her sad. I love her quite a bit platonically, and enjoy flirting with her though I'm not stupid enough to get into a relationship with her since she's pretty much my best friend and I reeeeeally don't want to dick that up. I perpetually owe her presents as I'm too lazy to ever get off my arse and send her her holiday/birfday presents, though I often have good ideas of what to get her, and indeed, have the presents sitting in my room for months on end. Important dates with her include March 31st, May 10th, and January 30th. She is also the Ford to my Zaphod, and is the only other person who knows the TRUE meaning of the phrase "Kilt-Ford makes happy."

Thorog: Tho is a New Zealand orc-pirate who I've recently started chatting seriously with. He's great amounts of fun, and even greater amounts of snark. He wants to grow up to be just like Davan from Something*Positive, if I'm remembering correctly. I'm quite fond of him in several ways. Fear my retroactive powers of crypticness --who actually rereads these? Besides me, of course. I'm just too cool not to go back and look at them ocassionally. Tho is full of awesome at any rate, and quite good at keeping me from being melencholy. He has also geased himself to proding me ocassionally and chatting.

Magus: Magus is *technically* not an online friend, but that's really the only way I know him these days. I met him at Origins, and remet him at Balticon. I'm also his minion in The Zombie Game (Shameless plug...shameless plug!) (EDIT: 12Nov2k6: The Zombie game is no more. *tear*) Also, he gets several trillion points for swinging by the 06/7 new years party --yayforthat. Now lives in the same city as me --YAY! The whole same-city thing is awesome, just because it means that I spend copious amounts of time over there, relaxing and hanging out, and having someone who I trust that I can talk to and bitch to. He's currently the closest thing I have to a best friend in Boston.

Drummer Dude/Sherman: Since I've just about given up on narrowing it down to Alex. Sherman is quite practically the guy who *taught* me how to flirt, at least onlines. Much glompage to him. :D

Kyu: Sometimes a friend. Sometimes not. Blows up planets. (evil!) Fairly wonderful. Going to be famous someday.

Harena: Potential adopted child. Poingy, wonderful, momish, knits. Awesome.

Ky: My half-sister. Totally awesome. Potential incestuous relationship. Met through OtherKat. Speaks better German then I do. Looks good in bondage.

Erika: My grandmother. Introducted to me through OKat. Ky's wife. Obsessed with Czolgosz.

Zeebs/Zebra: Just this guy, you know? Found on DevArt through OtherKat. Lives in Maryland. Pretty much completely awesome. Is to blame for the Assassins zeitgeist. Katters fiance.

Computers:

Dmitri Alexander II: Dimi is my computer. MINE MINE MINE HAHAHAH! He is a Dell (ick) and a PC (ick) but he's what I got, and I know how to use him, so hey that's good. I love him dearly -he's a sweetheart, even if I have had him since eighth grade.

Tabitha: Tabitha is Spams beautiful little powerbook G4 that I got to borrow for NaNo2k6 She rules. I want a mac sooooo bad.

Sergei: Sergei is mom's primary laptop. Yep!

Serenity Freiheit: Seren is my macbook. <3 EDIT: Le dead. Fucker.

Vera Serenfreude: My new MacBook. The not borked one.

Denizens:

Gabriel Denise de MOOP! is my pseudoangel guardian. He's the most rational, and most submissive of all the denizens. He fights with Her the most, and likes practising his swordforms in his spare time. He has no interest in sex and is so stubbornly straight that everyone thinks he's gay.

Mallory Alis de MOOP! is my guardian bitch. While Gabe's job can be defined as pulling me out of the pit, Alis's can be defined as keeping me from sinking deeper into it. She is ocassionally a slut, and ocassionally a prude. Gabriel is her best friend, and she dissapoints him with her ocassional sluttiness. Has had sex with Hyde, this annoys both Gabe and her.

Edward Hyde: Is. Well. Edward Hyde. Yeah. He's an asshole. I don't actually keep him around willingly, he just is around. Forcefully entered my mind when I fell in love with the song "Alive" from Jekyll and Hyde. Hasn't left.

Zaphod Beeblebrox: Drunk two headed ex con ex president of the galaxy awesomeness. He rules. Hoopiest damn frood in the entire world and a DAMN good drinkmaker.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern: Are not actually dead. Hang out in my mind on ocassion and cause quickly shifting chaos. Have no set appearences. Hyde *hates* them.

AbiGail: Not around very often. Librarian and pseudoangel. Had a fling with Hyde, which ended when she faded.

And of course, there are about eight billion other people who I keep up with and catch up with, repeatedly. I fall in cycles with who's the most important, or at the very least, taking up most of my focus. Which, currently, is this lot. Subject to change without warning.

And if I get any whiny "Why aren't *I* on that list" I reserve the right to bitch slap you, either physically or verbally. That was your one warning.

The favorite person of the day1 is Thorog.

Because he's a horrid cynical orc, and he taught me more HTML. And now I will abuse it mercilessly! BWAHAHAHA!

HTML is fun though. You can make things bold or italicized or underlined With a little bit of attention, you can learn how to strike things out.

And for LJ specific ones... )

And then there are links. You can link to other pages or, if you're talented, the same page

I've also recently learned how to make text bigger or smaller. All I need now is a quick way to do colours, so Gabriel and Alis can talk faster then me playing copy-paste with the sticky pad.

And of course, as I just learned, you can do this.*

So that's my day so far. Off to have a quick shower, then RUNEQUEST! Yay!!

I have to sortof wonder about people who can't understand, or find it really weird that I talk to myself. I talk to myself a LOT. More then most people would relize really. Mostly, it's me making the snotty comments that I make all the time to people, only to myself. And then I get annoyed at myself and we begin arguing.

Suffice to say, sometimes, it's just because I listen. And I actually understand the problem, and why it's a problem. And sometimes, it's because I can pull myself out of it, and look at it rationally. Not all the time, but sometimes.

I talk to myself because then, it's easier to orginize my thoughts. Talking something out always puts it in a new light (*snickers* It really does too...) Verbilizing things can always make it easier to understand them.

And understanding things are GOOD.

So, I don't see why people get weirded out that I do talk to myself. But then again, most of the people who don't get it, are the non-geeks, the "normal" people on my list.

Yeah, remind me agian why we HAVE normal people on our list of friends?

Because we're friendly.
