sorcyressUghhhh. It is so irritating to me when I look back on a day and think "wow, I feel so great about that day" and then just realize the thing is that I Did Some Stuff more than just fucking around on the electronics all day.
And then I get stuck on the chicken/egg part of it, where I'm not sure if I managed to get things done because I was having a good day, or the things done mean I feel like a good day. Regardless, capitalism is a problem that I link happy feelings with progress? Or maybe I just need to be some kind of productive to enjoy myself? I don't know.
But I am pleased I did a bunch of things. Here they are!
*Post-school was a union meeting, which was...really nice. I like my union a lot, and I am pleased by the organization and passion of its members. Among other things, we were visited by some folks working for the Fair Share Amendment being put to the vote in 2022. Basically, Massachusetts is gonna do some bonus-taxes on millionaires. YES PLEASE!
*During the Union meeting, I managed to fully grade the big test I've been neglecting (although I only gave it on the third, so that's honestly not so bad). I am set and ready for tomorrow during my prep doing my grades for the progress reports! And then more grading?_@. Good times!
*The other day I cleaned Catlandia pretty well, and today I continued that trend. I've almost done all the dishes? Yay!!!
*I made a ~real dinner~ which has not been the case much lately. I mean, it was ramen, but let's be real, I make a good ramen! Eggs and vegetables, yummmm!
*I had regular school type stuff as well, and that was quite good. I found an actual ~computer activity~ for the students to learn from in Geometry, which I should be doing more often, especially when we've got shapes going on. That being said, my one Algebra class (described by the volunteer once as "smart but crazy", which is extremely accurate) is...so much right now. They are collectively exhausting.
*And best of all, my lady-love is coming to visit for a bunch of days (nearly a week!!!). There's a small chance that this will be a disaster in which I never sleep again, but more likely it will just be very nice to have someone lovely waiting for me when I get home. She's theoretically catching a train about now, and I am required to take a nap while I wait for her to arrive a little-too-late.
(Second best of all, I've finally gotten around to watching the most recent season of bakeshow --I needed background noise television for when I'm fucking around in the evenings, and this is quite good for it. I'm up to episode four or so, which is around the point where I start seriously caring about particular bakers.)
(Chrystalle and Jurgen and I've probably spelled both of those wrong but I daren't look it up lest spoilers. Also please don't spoilers)
Anyways, I hope the rest of this week goes well also --there's a lot of meetings and rehearsals for the holiday show and the like, but I ultimately think it'll be pretty okay. I've worked out a rough plan for what I'm teaching for the rest of the year before break, which is honestly more than half the battle (then I just need to make the damn plans).
Oh yeah, and at some point I need to pack to go down to Texas for a week. At least I've basically finished Chrimmas shopping? (I could swing by a game shop and Q's nuts but I don't _have_ to)

on 2021-12-17 07:28 pm (UTC)Yeah, Crystelle (just looked it up) has been one of my favorites pretty much right out of the gate. Not sure why, but I like her attitude.
(I am also fond of Lizzie and her impenetrable accent, and Giuseppe, who just seems to be a nice person. Jurgen isn't a specific favorite, but he is wonderfully nerdy.)
