Birthday self-portrait

For my birthday, I drew a self-portrait of me as a witchka.

(A witchka is a witch, but not a very experienced one yet.)



I think it turned out pretty damn swell!

Jewelry I am wearing include my collar, my ankh, my ring (check the left thumb), and my pair of orange spider earrings. I am also wearing my belt pouches (I have three, but you can only see two), and my truly excellent Hat. It has spiders and flowers on it, and as admitted above, I accidentally mirrored which side was which.

Senator Lemonsnout is wearing some shibari rope, and his cape. He also has a little cutlass --that one is knitted and orange! He does not appear to be attached to the back of my bicycle, so I don't know how he's staying there.

I was indeed concerned about people worrying that I don't wear my helmet when I ride, hence the emphasis and me adding in my helmet dangling off the front handlebars.

If you look closely, you'll see that my shoes have "L" and "R" written on the toes. This is an accurate thing to the canonical sorcy EYESEARINGBRIGHT orange chucks (which I haven't owned in several years). You may notice that they are switched from my left and right sides, that's intentional.

Pinewoods shirt! I'm not actually wearing the Pinewoods shirt yet, but I will be shortly, when I get dressed up for ice cream.

I did not bother to decorate the skirt, which makes it ambiguous, but it's probably meant to represent the amazing flowery skirt I found in MD while thrift shopping with Aunt Siothaed.

I accidentally drew the front wheel of the bicycle noticeably too small the first time, and had to erase the entire thing and re-draw it. If I were a good artist, I'd be using references, to make this less likely. If I were a *really* good artist, I'd be using a compass to make my circular bike tires actually thus.

I drew in my freckles, because I like my freckles even if they're not that noticeable. I forgot to draw my leg hair and I have since gone back and added it in. I may also go back and change my right hand to have actual fingers --I don't mind the cartoony style, but I don't like that the hands don't match.
