Glitch & Zaphod are clearly victims of the Know-It-All Syndrome. This frequently crops up in universes where stupid people are in charge & don't want anyone stealing their power from them. Clearly they have become victims of self-denial & needed a way to Ostrich themselves. </bullshit>
