Kat-I found it!! Perfect timing too, I was just begining to contemplate the foolishness of being forever optimistic and the fact that just randomly paweing through the recycling was *not* going to help me find it.

Then my hand landed on a small wrapped up peice of tissue paper, which distinctly didn't squish like most paper does. Score!!

OKat got me a very adorable little carved kitty-cat. *happy*

However, my serches through the piles of packageing led to this random question: Is it better to be optimistic until you're forced to admit that whatever you're hoping for isn't happening, or is it better to be more pessamistic and then be pleasently surprised when things go your way?

Ya know, I used to be so optimistic that something good would happen but I learned not to live by this because I would only get hurt in the end for people breaking promises or not showing up or events not happening, currently I expect nothing (much) and hope for nothing so I won't be dissapointed and when something great does occur then I can be truely happy it happened and be able to fully appreciate it.
