sorcyressSo yeah. For those who can't tell, I'm having a really really really really really really really really really really really really really good christmas. REALLY really good.
Woke up at four. This was a little early, so I fell back asleep and stayed that way until my darling sister came in at 6. (We get to wake mom and dad up at 7:30) I drowsed, read to her, and hung out before we invaded Nik's room and woke him up. We then hung out for a bit, and at 7:30 went stampedeing down the stairs to get stockings and dump them all on Mom and Dad's bed. We rifeled through stockings (I got a yo-yo...Fun!) and finally went downstairs to eat breakfast.
We had grapefruit for breakfast. This would not really be a problem except for the fact that no one except dad seems to like it (I think it's alright) and I live in a family of drama queens. Nik finally choaked his down, Aly did her usual amount of amusing Aly-showness until hers was gone as well. Finally, present time.
Presents...heh...I did the usual evil older sister thing and graciously let Nik and Aly open most of their presents first. One of the first presents I opened though, and quite possibly one of the coolest non-otherKat presents I got was an Amazon box labled (and I quote:) "For Kat! Someone whose name starts with TH and someone whose initials are PA picked this out ESPECIALLY for you. Love Mom!" Me being dense, I couldn't figure out who these people were.
Me: *open box*
*pull out plastic sleeve with piece of paper inside*
*look at said peice of paper*
HOLY FLARGNUTS!!!
Nik and Aly: GAHHH!! WE WANT WE WANT!!!!
Yes my friends, I am now the proud owner of a peice of original artwork from Sluggy Freelance, signed by Pete himself. It is SEKSAY!!!! It's the first half of the comic for April 11th 04 (http://sluggy.com/daily.php?date=040411) and I loves it.
So, thanks a BOATLOAD to Mom, and Pete, and Thyla. *loves*
But wait, theres more.
I also managed to gain two new Uglydolls, three rolls of duck tape (technically the tape was in my stocking, but w/e) and the black techie definition shirt. And of course Kat's prezzies. Speaking of which, I need to name the cute little doggy. I'm thinking GoldHeart or Infinity, both references to the Heart of Gold from tHGttG.
Yeah. I'm happy right now.
Oh yes, and from assorted other family members, I got a copy of Tubular Bells, The Greatest Hits of the Rolling Stones (which was technically ALSO in my stocking) Lots of books, and some fun toe socks.
This has quite possibly been the best X-mas ever. Oddly enough, I think it's also been the only x-mas I've ever cried on (although those were definently happy tears.)
Oh yes: Kat:: Do you have a digital version of your x-mas card that I could have? I want it as my background, it's just so dammably CUTE!!
