sorcyressSo, I did a good thing today! I finally got around to making my ~very own~ Discord server!
“But wait Kat” I hear you say. “You’ve been running Free Space Dinosaur as a Merciless Dictatorship for ages now, well over a sesquiyear! If that is not your own, what possibly is?!” And yes! You are correct that Free Space Dinosaur is the best damn social space on the entire internet.
But a big part of _why_ it’s the best is because it is a space shaped by my beloved friends. It’s not actually just…solely for me. So after hearing a pile of cuties with lickable brains mention their personal Discord servers, that they use for various fun times lickable brain thinkings, I figured “Henchmen, bring me one of those”.
But I’ve been lazy about it until today at work when it suddenly hit me: I actually have Discord on both my personal and work computers, because I do actually have a Secret Work Discord Login1. And I could just…use the Secret Work Discord Login to create a server, and then invite my proper identity, and then go ahead and like…make everyone be admin! Woo!
And now I can use the server from either computer or my phone! I can just…use it any time and anywhere! But…what will I use it _for_???
I am absolutely soliciting suggestions. Thoughts I have so far include:
*To Do Lists, sorted by various subcategories – dance, work, home
*Therapy –both the usual euphemistic TherapyFilter stuff, and like…genuine space to work on Therapy. Like, take notes all week about things to talk about with Jenn, and also take notes during therapizing for future reference.
*Photo collecting –a place to dump particularly good photos so I can more easily grab them from different computers
*Self-chat –just a little place to babble to myself in the day-to-day because that’s what I do constantly _anyways_ so why not write it down too.
But anyways, I’d love to know what you use your personal server for. Or what you would use it for! Or what other organizey things you’ve been doing with your brain!

1: “But Discord lets you change your nickname real easy like!” Okay yes, but also no. You have to have one “core name” that anyone in any server can see, and when I have situs where Kat Walletname cannot _ever_ cross the streams with Sor Kyress, NEVER THE TWAIN SHALL MEET!
Postscript Oh. And I can use this discording nonsense to pass this entry from the computer not logged in to the computer that is logged in. Huzzah!

Storing messages in progress, as an alternative to Gmail drafts, or google keep which doesn't have any text formatting options at all in a way that makes me really unhappy
