sorcyressjere7my pointed out that I should talk about my birthday plans. This means I should actually make some birthday plans. SO.
My birthday is on a Friday this year. I have been talking about wanting to have a barefoot ball in my backyard, but I have put absolutely zero effort into designing or organizing this, so it doesn't seem likely that I will actually do it.
I feel bad about that. But I don't think I can actually organize something like that from the opposite coast, and especially not when there are much more immediate and interestingpeoplethings to do around here.
But goddamnit, it is *my* birthday and I am awesome as hell and I want to celebrate somehow. So! We should all --every fucking one of us-- go get ice cream at JP Licks on August 28th, because I am great and we need to celebrate that fact. Probably we should go around 10:30 at night. I think things will still be busy then, but that way, if I *do* spontaneously organize a dance party in my backyard, there will be the right amount of time for it.
Presents are, as always, awesome but irrelevant. Mostly I wanna see you and eat ice cream with you and hang out and chat and be told I am great and people love me. All of those seem like really good things.
(And as I may have said before, if someone else wants to organize the hard parts of a barefoot ball --which is to say, how to amplify sound in my backyard-- then that would be the best ever present. I can totally DJ and teach waltzing and Scottish and make a cake and stuff.)
(Of course, there's also the corollary of "if I hosted a birthday party in my backyard, focused on dancing, would you show up?")
Anyways, I turn 26 on August 28th, yayyyyy. 26 is not the prime of life, but it is a multiple of 13, which is important to Sorcy-Canon. I am looking quite forward to it, I expect it to be a wonderful year.
Whatever I wind up doing, I hope you can be a part of it. <3
