Aug. 21st, 2008 01:34 pmSoooo, you may or may not have remembered the post I did where I copied down a bunch of things that I had written in my little note taking Moleskiene.
Butyeah, it's time for another dose of that. So, interesting thoughts the Sorcyress had at work and other places. Authors notes are in italics.

*Dear Safeway: Who exactly decides what is "rediculously robust"? Because it makes me laugh every time. (Their radio ads promise the produce is thus.)
080808
*AhHA! No wonder today's been such a good day -Just look at the date and remember my lucky number!
*Kat, I can't believe you're going to drink out of that without it going through a dishwasher. Someone could've pissed in it! You could be drinking out of some frat boy's piss-mug! (Don't worry folks, I did wash it first.) Umyeah. I needed a glass, I was buying this one for mom anyways, I washed it in the sink with soap and water, and then drank out of it. My brain is apparently more germaphobic than I am.)
*Martyn Pig - Kevin Brooks
*Hook Man Speaks - Matt Clark (Both are books I read at the store.)
*Rich Richardson and the Sixteen Canker Sores of Melodious Death. (I think it was a band name. Notsure.)
9 Aug 2k8
*Dear Scifi conventions: Thank you for the one minute time limit on Masque entries. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! (Seriously, Otakon. What the fuck?)
10 Aug 2k8
*My boss is utterly the greatest boss ever. Ferserious. (She really is, too)
*"You make love fun(ny?)" - What a great sentiment. (Song lyric I heard, or misheard?)
*I wish I had a kitchen. Then I would have a fondue set, and a toaster, and a bread machine, and...(Thrift store = dangerous)
*Livejournal Meme: You have a show on broadway (a la "Leiacat! The Musical) What's it called, what's the story, and just how awesome is it. And what kind of dancing does it have?
*"My internet grandma is a REAL DOCTOR."
"Who's your internet grandma?"
"My friend Erika!"
"And where'd she learn to be a real doctor --the Neil Patrick Harris school of teenage medicine?"
-Me, DarkEric.
*I can has picnic? I can has orgy? "No picnic" Yay! We can has orgy!!
15 Aug 2k8
*P******* Group = clever bastards, wot with the putting their disclaimer at the beginning of their radio ads. (Name removed to not give them free advertising. It is really clever though, because I always think the disclaimer is for the previous ad, until I listen harder.)
*Benny and Joon looks awesome. I should totally go watch that sometime, yeah?
16 Aug 2k8
*Which Witch - Eva Ibbotson (Another book.)
*Mr. Radagast Makes an Unexpected Journey - Sharon Nastik (Sort of a short story in book form)
17 Aug 2k8
*One little girl is just a bit confused / Thought that she was human too. (From the song 'One Little Girl', by Toad the Wet Sprocket. Really pretty, really sad song.)
*People around the world / join hands / It's time to get aboard the / Love train // It's called a love train / Love train (This song plays every couple days or so on the radio, and earworms me like all hell)
*I need a copy of Sweet Home Alabama. And 'You're so Vain' while I'm at it.
17 Aug 2k8
*"If only, if only," the woodpecker sighs
"The bark on the tree was as soft as the skies"
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely
Crying to the moo-oo-oon,
"If only, if only."
*Yeah, Holes is pretty much one of the absolutely best books ever written.
*Dear Burger King: The 100 mile rule? Sigh. Hello Urban Dictionary.
*A memory fragment - When we were young, I did up Aly's hair with every clip in the entire house, save two or three which I used on myself. Afterwards, mom took pictures, perhaps of both of us, perhaps only of her. It occurs to me now that it was a very 27 dresses moment.
18 Aug 2k8
*"And if you get a choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance" (This is from what I've decided is absolutely the sweetest break-up song there ever was. There's no bitterness at all in it, just...hope. Hope for living a good and full and perfect life, even after this love.)
*Title idea: 'An Atheist's Conversations with God'
18 Aug 2k8
*A thousand miles seems pretty far / But they've got planes and trains and cars / I'd walk to you if there's no other way - Hey there Delilah, here's to you. ~ <3
