Oct. 5th, 2021 11:22 pmToday was somewhat better, but also _really_ long.
I am up to a round hundred students, yayyyy. My previous largest classload was 80, so that's cool. I literally have an entire class more than my other biggest year, and my classes are universally harder to manage and take more time (following up with absences and failures and the like) so that's good times.
If you count the parts I did between midnight and sleep last night, I worked thirteen hours today. Y-yay! Let's not do this again anytime soon. Oh wait, proper end of quarter is in like four weeks, we'll do it then apparently.
Post-work was a grocery run, and then flopping mightily and not doing any work or feeling guilty about needing to do work, and then Elishka came over to watch an episode of Leverage. We've sorta finally put together that we live close enough that it's not actually unreasonable to just watch one episode at a time, maybe once or twice a week, and that suddenly makes it much easier to fit into the rest of our mutually hellabusy schedules.
(Meanwhile I am also still slowly watching it with Austin, and continue to have zero regrets about doubling up like this. Leverage is a show I can apparently watch twice in a week, no problems.)
Tomorrow is Wednesday, which is always the "easy" day at work. I have double PD after (whee), one of which I am helping to run, so that's...that's good. On the plus side, I get to be enthusiastic about gender/pronouns 101 to my coworkers, so that genuinely is good!
Ye gods above and below, I am looking forward to Monday being a day off.
