Now, you may notice that I haven't bothered to do the magical flagging thing. It is perfectly allowable that one of you attempt to flag this entry, because heaven knows it does deal with adult concepts and shouldn't be read my minors, bla bla bla.

I myself did not, because censorship is one of those things that seriously pisses me off. I agree that there may be things in general that minors should not read, however, I acknowledge that minors are going to find those things and read them anyways.

The real trick is to have people who care around to answer questions and to help morally guide said minors. Alto, they need to emphasize that there is a difference between legal adults engaging in morally questionable practises behind their own doors, where, if something goes wrong, they have the money and world experience to fix it, and illegal kids engaging in the same behaviors, where if something goes wrong, they're (no pun intended) screwed. (Seriously, children should not raise children. I don't know much about the mental aftereffects of getting an abortion, but I've been led to believe that it will definently fuck you up some. Minors should not have* to deal with any of that.)

So, in short, I'm not censoring this. I'd *rather* my little sister didn't read the <31WP's, but if she does, there's not a lot I can do other than remind her not to have sex, and if she does, to be safe about it. And I'm certainly not saying you should go out and show this to minors immediately. But really, if a minor wants to read this, they will --it's laughably easy to change your birthyear on elljay, so even if it was flagged adult, the hypothetical minors reading my journal could just claim to be another few years older, and read it anyways.

(Plus, I have at least two or three people who read my elljay anonymously. I'd rather not cut them out.)

Talia and Heroes.

So. There's this girl, futuresoon, who I've known by one name or another since I was a regular at S.n. She's one of the people I think of as an actual peer (ie, someone else who regularly gets the whole "Wait, you're *how* young?" thing.) and she is, in general, pretty damn cool.

About...March last year, she started posting regularly about this show I had heard of, Heroes. I skipped over them, as I don't like spoilers for things I'm serious about seeing, but I filed it away as something to watch sometime. And, well, you can block spoilers as best you can, but there are still bits and pieces that are going to filter through.

Fast forward to...about a month and a half ago, when I watched Tin Man. This was one of many fandoms that I recall skipping past in her journal. But I actually watched it, and enjoyed it, and so I went back to read her posts.

They were pretty bloody awesome. "Okay", I told myself, since my tentative plan was to force Magus to get Heroes sometime so I could watch it with him. "Once I've seen all of Heroes, I'll have to go back and read all her stuff on that.

Fastforward to today, where I discover that 'all her stuff on that' is 221 frigging entries tagged 'Heroes'. Cue the slightly manic, slightly gleeful laughter.
Cue the realization that a lot of it is well written fanfiction.
Cue the realization that a lot of *that* is suprisingly good porn.

Yeah, I am pretty much totally doomed, aren't I?

And to make it worse, in this beginning twenty entries or so, she's already tossed me three pictures and a *really* nice little pornstory of my favourite pairing. Damnit, Tal, I'm not supposed to actually like fanfiction! I don't slashpair, I crackpair! This is Not Fair.
