*There was post-wedding brunch at the grandparents house. I spent a bunch of time chatting with ringer-friends, but also a goodly clip of time chatting with mostly-Austin's-relatives. I found the queer cousin! They told me an _amazing_ pronouns joke that I sorta want to steal but also they legit do standup so certainly I will not be stealing it in places that make it easier to propagate and have other people steal it.
*Then there was beach time! I went into Lake Tahoe! I went up to my shoulderblades! I stayed in for greater than one minute! Are you all very proud of me? I'm very proud of me!
The beach was a little frustrating just because it was very sunny, nicely warm, and _incredibly_ breezy. I was hoping to have a more classic ocean-style adventure where you drip dry out on the sand and quickly warm up, but I did not really do that. I muddled along though, and got to play some Very Exciting cribbage with Adin.
*Near the end of me being beach-ready anyways, mek showed up from the train + shuttlebus. I have a mek!!! It's been a little over a year (usually I do either April or February vacation, but there were scheduling things that wouldn't work out). We made quick introductions, and headed up to the motel to figure out next steps.
*An okay take-out dinner from the closest mexican place to the hotel (which probably was not the best of the 4+ mexican places we saw later on our walk), some investigation of what shitty tv channels we had, and then mek and I went for a long walk to see All Of King's Beach! Finishing the walk, we decided to return to the ice cream place, and grabbed April, Daniel, JohnB, and Adin from where they had conveniently _just_ finished playing video games.
*Ice cream with my friends and love, then walked back home to the motel where we are settling in for a quiet night of ???. Tomorrow is probably mini-golf again (this time with mek!), and stopping by the thrift store when it's open, and then who knows what else. Maybe a hike? Fuck around on the beach? who knows! And on Tuesday we go back to Sacramento on the ~train~ and I'm very excited about it.
