Veronica came over to hang out with me today. Which was most totally excellent.
THIS JUST IN! A SPECIAL BULLITIN!
Jaimee says hello. Eric says I say hi too, and Chris says "I like cheese"
[/end special bullitin]
So right, Veronica. We played seven rounds of Super Smash Brothers (I played all the standard charecters excpet for Fox) and a couple of rounds of Mario Karts 64. Then we watched arseloads of Firefly. This was a Good Thing.
...I am being watched. By Eric, and Chris a little bit. This is...slightly odd. I'm perfectly used to being stalked (You can't have a clone like mine *without* getting used to it) but being watched as I try to type stuff is an entirely different manner. Crazy people.
Apparently I don't normally spell "entirely" right. Yet another word doomed to messing me up.
Mother has made a paper airplane for her Snake Plisskin action figure. We are *so* ready for this movie.
This is honestly quite unsettling Eric. I hope you realize that. *boggles*
(I do. Don't worry. - Eric)
He's also mastered that doing two spaces after a period thing that I've never gotten. Weird.
Apparently that's some sort of typing rule that I blatantly ignore. BAH AND LIES!
Although, on the flip side, having someone who knows how to spell watching me type intently means that all the stupid errors I don't even realize I'm making get fixed. Exciting!
Wow, this entry is just so much pointlessness. *shrugs* Works for me, anyway.
ANYWAY! Firefly, which was meant to be the original topic for this entry. I'm now a little past halfway done (We watched up to 'Arial'), and V and I are *well* on our way to having the whole series watched by the end of the summer. Go us.
In other news, Veronica has claimed Inara, and I have claimed Kaylee. Because Kaylee is the Highly Enthusiastic wins. And yes, I do know how she got onto Serenity, and while it's not quite a path I'm into taking, it makes me giggle. Fits entirely too perfectly with the character and all that.
Alright, spellingnazi's are scaring me now. Off to harass Tho and OKat with Eric now. See ya cats, kids, and STG's later!

on 2006-08-02 02:00 am (UTC)Obviously they aren't trying hard enough, because you still managed to spell realise wrong</english type="queen's">
Also, far more than you ever needed to know on the whole two spaces thing (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=540926).

on 2006-08-02 02:14 am (UTC)...*now know's how to spell realise, and hopefully will avoid that error in the future*
I am so going to drive my teachers insane. "Kat, you spelled color wrong! And realise! And theatre!! Haven't you heard of spellchecker?"
"...Sorry, my spellchecker's set to British. I'll fix that right aways."
...British isn't a language, is it?

on 2006-08-02 02:24 am (UTC)But, since it's very much a deeply-ingrained habit now, and since it doesn't actually affect anything (what with two spaces being shrunk down to a single anyway), I'll probably continue two-spacing.

on 2006-08-02 03:30 am (UTC)What, it's not like she slept her way onto the ship. She demonstrated quite adequately that she knew the job much better than the flake who had it before her.
Eric does know that the standard for display of HTML is to strip all contiguous whitespace and replace it with a single space, right? So that those of us who properly use two spaces after punctuation see it reduced to one everywhere on the web unless we want to do a whole bunch of work with s all over the place to force the doubled space.

on 2006-08-02 03:39 am (UTC)And that's why Kaylee rocks. Because, if you're going to have a one night stand with a random engineer, then upstage him in fixing his own ship, you just get a million cool points.
