In the middle of Pinewoods, there was a very bad night, where everything was difficult and I hadn't slept or eaten enough, exacerbating my ineffectual brain. So I walked out, alone, onto the long pond dock, and stared at the stars and sobbed, trying to connect to myself or to my gods in a way that would be helpful.
After a long time damaged, I found words, and I found a prayer. I whispered it out to the lake and the stars, and then trudged home to sleep, enough closure found to heal. But before I slept, I stopped and wrote down the words I had invented. Mosttimes, my prayer is impulsive and shifting, but this was more universal. It will do me good to have the words of the spell at hand next time I need to cast it.
It runs as follows:
Whatever it is I need, give me the strength to find it.
Whatever it is I can be, give me the strength to become it.
Whatever it is I want, give me the strength to want it, and the conviction to deserve it.
And if I must depend on others, give me those worth depending on.
(Ramen.)
I like that it follows wishes of strength, because my goal is always to be stronger-better in ways both physical and not.
(And I like that I do have those worth depending on, and that I was given later nights the strength to seek them out.)

I am much more sure of myself than I was a year ago. I like that I have begun to think of myself as an adult.
