Wednesday Medialog!

Things I have consumed in the last couple weeks:

*Ezri and I are watching Parks and Rec! We started with season 2 (because season 1 is only six episodes and honestly irrelevant) and are now partway through season 3, and it's a Good Time. Enjoyment went *sharply* up when Ben Wyatt finally shows up at the end of season 2, because Adam Scott is Extremely Attractive and neversomuch as when he is being an utter dweeb.

*I have actually *finished* the Taskmaster podcast, which is astounding! I listened to all the episodes, and now maybe I can continue to listen to one episode a week which sounds super hard to remember so probably I'll just forget for three months and then binge a bunch.

*Many dumb video games because my ability to do literally anything else in life is at an absolute nadir which is cool and dumb. I am up to ~level thirty~ in the Microsoft Solitaire suite (specifically for Spider Solitaire) which is just as embarrassing as it sounds.

*One of the better video games was/is Nethack. I really like Nethack it turns out! Like, I play it and feel actually good instead of like I just did brainstatic for hours! I'm doing a much more spoiler-heavy version than when I played last (in approximately 2010) and also I got to teach Austin how to play and help him do a couple rounds and that was very cute and entertaining.

*George of the Jungle! Phoebe came over on Sunday so we could celebrate Austin's birthday and it came up that he's never seen it and Bee was all "hell yes" and I am always "HELL YES" and so we watched it all snuggled up on the couch and it was very cute.

*Also the three of us played Agricola, and I went with a very batshit strategy that went less poorly than expected but still three full beggar cards is _oof_.

*I have read about three more pages of This Is How You Lose The Time War which is...such a thing.

*Keeping up with the usual webcomics, but haven't gotten very far in the Curmudgeon archive --only at April 2013 which is like...barely past where I was last medialog. It's okay, it'll still be there...

*...unlike Spike Trotman's "Playing with Dolls" which required two separate forays into Archive.org and was still missing about half of all the images. I read most of what was ever posted though, and I still find it fiercely funny! Yes, it is appalling to say that out of all the amazing projects Iron Spike has been involved with, my favourite is her ultra-trashy Sims soap opera, but dang. The heart likes what it likes.

Anyways, that's me. Hope you are putting good things into your brain. Maybe soon I will re-read the Mira Grant story about the zombie apocalypse outbreak in the elementary school, because I hate myself and want to be even more anxious about the looming threat of reopening the schools.
