Fourth of July last night was COMPLETELY awesome.
It started with a whole ton of us getting together and going to the "secret" place for watching the lakefront fireworks. It was me, Aly,
werewulf,
chickenhat,
whymydiddle,
speaker2animals,
ancientsong,
grimclown,
shadowcaptain, Neva, SueWho, Larry, Xan, and AJ.
Fireworks RULE. Just needs to be said. Often. And loudly. I LOVE fireworks.
After fireworks, we went home (minus SueWho and co) and decided impulsivly to go on a wandering through the paths to look at the fireflys we had niticed during Saterday nigths marshmellow wars.
It was SO pretty. The trees twinkle and glitter and look SO amazing. Fireflys are really cool. Their green and glowy and squee!
We got to the bridge, and spotting some fireworks, stopped to watch, especially as said fireworks were being set off at the end of teh bridge (we were about halfway down). It was REALLY cool to see fireworks that close, and hear the bangs essentially instantly. It ROCKED!
Other stuff:
Marshmellow Wars:
Marshmellow wars, of course, ruled a lot. There were a whole heap of us, so we all wandered down to the park to play Zombie attack/Resident Evil. (Basic story: a few people have guns and ammo, they have to get to a certain point to win, everyone else is a zombie, who wanders around and trys to kill the ammo holders.) It was really cool, although it starts to hurt your voice if you moan for too long.
And Leah-Wolf got hurt, which sucks since she's REALLY cool.
I do think marshmellow wars work a little better with less people though. Not that I don't love you all, but there were a TON of folks around.
Attendence: Me, Aly,
werewulf,
sennan_cuff, Jernie, Boe, Blue Canary, Leah-Wolf, Angelfishy/Fishsticks,
fuechen,
macaroniandtuna, and
drama_angel3189. Apologies if I've forgotten anyone.
Gaming:
Ok, so TWO sessions ago, we found a kobold and somehow agreed to helping him get his "dragon" (we figured it was just a large lizard) back from the goblins. The brats name is Meepo, and the desire to PUNT the little thing is huge. (*twitches*) Anyway, Sunday, we wound up invading Goblin Territory and stumbling into a locked room to hide from the hordes of freaking GOBLINS that were about to attack us.
Our theif gets us in. We then decide to lock the door behind us, just in case. Cue us looking around the room. "Oh look at all that random ice. I think I'll take a closer poke around. HOLY HELL! IT REALLY *IS* A DRAGON!!!"
That was Not Fun. But we all survived (somehow) and Tara actualyl took damage, which hasn't really happened yet. And now we're all level two, which means I need to pick a new feat. ROCK!
Of course, the downside of all this is that we're starting next gaming session in the middle of Goblin territory, in their freaking TROPHY ROOM, with an unconcious kobold, and a wyrmling white dragon. Right, because THIS isn't evil.
But we rock, so we'll make it out of there.
Origins:
The Kobolds Ate My Baby people weren't there. Neither was I.
Thank you random spirit who follows me around and does nice things for me for some inexplicably wonderful reason!
Stuff:
I have presents for OKat, I just need that address. And I've got letters! All sorts of cool things could be yours if yu only got that to me!
I have Thing-a-ma-Bobby's glasses. She left them here. Again. Silly girl.
Music:
Been listening to Adam Ant all morning. He's pretty cool. My favorites are Desperate but not Serious, Goody Two Shoes, Place in the Country, Stand and Deliver, and Strip.
LJ life:
I've given up completely on reading all my lovely friends entries. With a few exceptions, of course. I'll get there, I promise.
I've fixed my iMOOP! icon, and it's now my default. So yeah. For the first time since basically I GOT a Livejournal, my default is not my Skullx pirate me.
I'm about to run out of paid time (litterally like today or something) so I need to fix that. Mom? Please?? I'll pay you back!
I need a job.
I think thats all for the moment. What a long entry. Time to go Thrift-storing!
