Well, I guess this is just resounding fucking proof that you're not a functional human being. Your emotional stability should not be dependant on other people, ever. Grow up, stop crying, and pretend to be an adult. You know, that thing that you're so desperate for people to see you as?

on 2007-12-21 11:32 am (UTC)People are social creatures. Some people crave external praise more than internal pride. Neither way is "wrong" it's just different.
I could spout off a bunch of clichés right now about people not being small bodies of land surrounded by water, but I doubt that would be helpful.

on 2007-12-21 07:53 pm (UTC)Mm. I can accept this, and it makes me wonder a bit which is more important to me. I think the internal pride, as that's the one that throws me more often. We'll see.
*shrugs* Cliches can be helpful, there is usually a reason they became cliche after all --because many people thought they were well said and used them.
