Go through my stuffed animals and figure out what I'm bringing, what I'm keeping at home, and what I can get rid of somehow.
Go through my clothes
Pack some amount of shit before going Mainewards in order to hopefully leave it at Dave and Diane's place so that I have less to bring when I actually go
Get contact info and addresses for everyone down here I care about
Buy stamps
Find my other 256k memory card for Elena (My current digital camera)
Go through the under my bed space
Figure out what I'm doing with my craft shit (Beads, origami paper, etc)
Go through my sewing box and either fix or pitch everything
Write my Origins conreport
Clean out my nest
Finish going through all my papers and putting them in my filing cabnint
Index my notebooks somehow
Buy my Mac
Get the stuff that needs to be on the Mac onto her, off Dmitri
Back up Dmitri, onto as few discs as possible
Buy myself a bulk container of lemonheads, as best to keep my sanity with
Buy/gather school supplies
Answer all the e-mails I got during the con
Read "How to read a French Fry"
Sort through books, ensure that I have safely gotten "The Pirates Mixed Up Voyage" back into my greedy hands, and buy mum her own copy of "By the Sword"

You can get school supplies there. It's a cross between "oh good, something I don't have to think about" vs. "are you kidding? I'm saving this to do when I feel like I'm stalled and making no progress so I can say Ha! Look! Another thing crossed off my list!"

If it's possible for you to get into an activity (mine was marching band) or an orientation class that gets you there a couple days before the rest of the freshmen, and interacting with upperclassmen, I swear that was the best thing I did. By the time my roommate showed up, I already knew the good dining halls, when brunch closed on Sundays, where to get the cheaper books -- not to mention I was able to get them used and in excellent condition -- and I had a handful of upperclass friends.

Yes, I did love going to college. It helped that I didn't like my high school and that I am not afraid of new experiences :)

I want to hear all about it -- so you better journal at least....ummm... once. (i also remember how busy it gets)
