Hallo! Here is what I have been up to!

On Monday I went to the train station and caught a train to Maryland! Beforehand I did my level best to actually try and do a little bit of Pinewoods Packing, and I think that number is exactly how much we had: a little bit. I am hopeful that I will be able to do the rest on Sunday without it being too crazy-stressful. We'll see.

Train to Maryland went fairly well --very briefly delayed at the end, but I literally just played Slay the Spire the entire time and it was lovely! Nice to have a new video game obsession coincide with seven hours of time in which I have basically no expectations or responsibilities and can just indulge in said obsession.

Got home and hung with both parents plus Wicked Auntie Robin for a bit, plus bonus hanging with Aunt Siothaed who was working on her car in mom's garage at the time. Robin happened to be visiting for overlapping week, which has been lovely! It's good to see her, and I'm glad that parents moving away from Texas hasn't lost her entirely from their lives.

Tuesday, mom went off to daycamp and Robin and I hung out some which was nice. I made a pretty decent todo list gamification for the week, and set to trying to accomplish some tasks (email organization/catchup has been a big one). In between accomplishing things, Robin taught me how to play Splendor Duel, which is the little 2-player version of Splendor. It's a nice change from the regular game, and after her beating me soundly the first time, I handily won the next two games. Muahaha!

(Sometimes I can be decently smart at board games. + appropriate amounts of luck!)

Mom came home eventually, very very tired from camp. Managed to get them to watch one episode of Game Changer with me --I think this one was the night we did The Official Cast Recording.

On Wednesday, more me+Robin coworking, including me managing to get Dropout installed on my parents' tv and logged into with my account, which feels like a nice flip on the classic from the kid borrowing the parents' netflix. My hope is to get them entranced and then they'll just buy their own account --the network is much of the kind of humour I think they enjoy.

Part of Tuesday's things had been a phone call with Linda McJ in anticipation of Wednesday night's RSCDSBoston exec committee meeting, which was pleasantly painless. I love that Linda can actually like...run a meeting. I finished that up, and then mom and I watched another GameChanger -this one Like My Coffee, since I figured mom would enjoy the inyerendos and given how much I adore Grant, mom will likely find him very dear as well. Robin and Dad returned from trivia right at the "sex toy or dog toy?" part, which was very funny timing at least.

Wednesday late-aft also had mekdate where we watched the final episode of season 1 of Dungeon Meshi! Luckily, it's been picked up for season 2, because the ep makes a lovely mid-series anticipation, but would be an _awful_ place to wrap up. I look forward to seeing how they finish the plot they're suggesting.

Thursday was the day Veronica and I had Homework Club! I did some work with my Scots Pinewoods MC program, and dealt with a bunch of small email tasks that wanted looking at. It was really really really good to be at Veronica's house and spend time with her, and a lot of fun to throw back to this thing we used to do on the regular (Homework Club is very much just "go to each others' house and body double through the homework).

At the end of that I got to see Miss Marsha and the boys, which was really lovely. I love my family!

Home again in time for DnD, where we (hopefully) squared away all the bits so we can have our Big Confrontation next session. Then Tailsteak and I had a taskmaster date in which we watched zero taskmaster and just chatted with each other for a couple hours, which was lovely.

I went upstairs to collect mom and help them finish cleaning up and being ready for bed, which meant I got to bake the shrinky-dink swaps for them. That was fun!

Friday was today and I went to day camp with mom for the day! It was nice to see the very small number of "everyone" who still attend, and always satisfying to be able to be helpful and do things well. I had a good hour or so of gossip-time with Mica, building well on last year when we were able to do the same, and I helped mom repair some tarps and tie knots in ropes and helped the shedmaster pack things up correctly. I also ate a snocone and spent a good chunk of time lying under a tarp in the shade and breeze finishing my book. That was a good choice, very relaxing.

I hit my wall pretty much at the time mom and I were planning to head home anyways, so we did so and I ate some salt and drank some Gatorade. Barb came over, and Aunt Sara again briefly, and varying groups of them + Robin watched several more episodes of GameChanger -- As a Cucumber, Deja Vu, and Escape the Greenroom.

Now it is very very late and I have admittedly slept about ninety minutes over an open laptop, but I am glad to have finished my words so I can go to real sleep. Tomorrow mom and I pack them for ESCape and then drivedrivedrive up to Boston so we can do my aforementioned PW packing. And then go to camp!
