Iiiiit's time to go home for the holidays!

I am feeling way _way_ more scatterbrained than usual, which is...it's a lot. It feels like a lot. But I am packed, and I have ordered a taxi, and I have eleven minutes to write my words and then I can go to bed by midnight and get a whole 4.5 hours of sleep. That's...almost good!

Some stuff that needs to get done while I am in Dallas:

*Grading. I have lots and lots of this to deal with. Not fun, but I've been sliding waaaaay behind, and if I want to be able to functionally deal with my kiddos when I get back, I gotta deal with it.

*House stuff. Includes grocery shopping, tree decorating, helping mom with files, going through papers or old stuff or whatever, etc. Maybe finding what clothes I've got stored there and finding my math team shirt from high school? (nerd alert).

*Chrimmas! Gotta wrap a bunch of presents! Gotta get a present for Alys's boyfriend! Gotta have WRETCHED EXCESS! because I'm a big fan of that sort of nonsense.

*Hogmanay planning? Like, I am going to Philadelphia. I do not have a ticket to Hogmanay, a place to stay New Year's night, or a way home. I really _really_ need to sort out all of that basically asap.

*Secret bells project! Which had a secret deadline, which was _yesterday_. So I'm a little annoyed at myself for not making that, and in fact, for not working on it in a Right Age. Should make sure I set things up such that if I am not sleeping the entire flight (plausible) I can work on that.

*Pokemon! I have been actually playing most days recently, and I am pleased with it. I find it very relaxing and entertaining and stuff.

*Sleep, rest, and relaxation.

*Working on secret new years resolution thingy.

I dunno. There might be other stuff as well. I'm bringing my sketchbook and my bells-clipboard but no books to read (there are plenty at the house) or anything else like that. Like I said, things are scattered. We'll see how it all goes.

Anywho, this weekend was quite good at least, except for the part of yesterday where I did nothing for five hours except flop and watch taskmaster and play dumb phone games. But there was good bells yesterday, and lovely bells today. I got to ring some Cambridge (this continues to be a stupidly weird sentence) and today we had a quarterpeal which went quite nicely indeed.

I was the treble for plain bob trips, and found out that I *can* count treble, which is nice. When I tenor behind, I count all the changes, because...I need something for my brain to do and I'm a little bit that-kind-of-crazy? Anyways, last time I trebled, I don't think I was capable of going sideways with the focus enough to quietly count things in my head, but this time I could! It helps that I counted leads, not individual changes, and then I could match it to my place ("sixty-one, four, five, six, sev...")

I hope y'all are happy and lucky and the world is good for you.
