City Spider finds a Playground

This playground gets -5 for no swingset, but +18 for one of the best spiderwebs I've ever climbed on.

City spider has found something that feels about as much like home as you can get.

Here's the view down from the middle. It's got six big pipes, and then two layers of stuff

This is how I climbed up here-- that cross rope is pretty rigid, makes it easy to shimmy onto the pipes

See? It's not actually designed for sitting on (probably on purpose) but it works for me

Top layer is mostly boring, just a grid of squares. Quite good for basic clamboring and probably chase.

Bottom layer has _stuff_. You can see a plankbridge, a black sitting space, and a green loungey swing

From this direction, you can see a twisty-board (rubbery and moves side to side) and some cool climbing tools

These are super neat, actually. They're about as tall as I am. The black pegs are static, the green ones rotate

Green thing is quite comfortable, by the by.

Not pictured: lots and lots of corvids making loud crow-or-raven noises all over the place.
Anyways, yeah, this is a good sanctuary to have found. I hope you enjoyed this edition of City Spider Does Playgrounds.
And here is a bonus photo just for livejournal...

From the top of the spiderweb, you have a very nice view of the community garden next to this park.
