sorcyressOne thing I do like about Mission Control (which is the vastly inferior 10.9 version of Spaces) is that you can actually have a different background in each desktop. Oh yes. This is an extremely basic and wonderful thing that I plan on taking full advantage of.
For the moment though, until I can port Vera's backgrounds folder over, I just pinged through my ancient and nigh-unused deviantArt favourites and grabbed a few random things. So why not, have a screenshot of my current setup!
(Offhand, screen 2 is chat, and probably screen four is gonna wind up as Steam. One is internet storage, three is hopefully gonna be active internet window(s) and I guess I'll put itunes into six so it's out of the way, especially since this keyoard comes with function buttons for play and pause and skip tracks, rather than just volume.)
You can also see my dock, in which I pulled off almost everything that was originally there (seriously, there were like fifteen icons, hella bullshit) and replaced Safari with Chrome and messages with Adium. SysPrefs is in there for now since I'm using it a lot, but I'm not sure it'll stay, as it is only one click more to access through the start menu.
Yay new computer! Maybe later I will post pictures of the hardware side of her, although hopefully not until I have done at least a little decoration.
