Rose Tyler: But they've got guns!
The Doctor: Yes, and I haven't. That makes me the better person. They can shoot me dead, but the moral highground is mine!
So. Dr. Who. I've now seen the last three episodes of the first season of TennantWho.
I'm hooked. Completely. Ohmygodsloveawesome. I'm sure this has *something* to do with the fact that David Tennant is amoung the sexiest movie stars I've ever seen, but then again, it's just as likely to have to do with the fact that it's an abysmally awesome scifi concept.
Also, I REALLY want a TARDIS. When Tho becomes The Doctor, I shall have to steal his. :D
So. Like I said, last three episodes. This isn't really a good order to watch things in, but hey, what can you do. So, let's just take them one by one, because I'm feeling babbly.
Fear Her:
Fear Her was...well...COOL! I mean, being able to suck people into your drawings? That's just awesome. In a horrible, awful sortof way. I'm also rather bemused by the fact that The Doctor has cat issues.
Also, z'ohmygods foreshadowing at the end there. Hell, even if I hadn't known that Rose was going to DIE HORRIBLY, just listening to that conversation would have tipped me off. Dayam.
Army of Ghosts:
I'd actually seen the latter half of this one already (thank you London!), So I knew how it ended. I did not know anything else about how anyone got to where they were. All I knew was that we had this incredibly awesome guy staring down this evil bitchchick, while his assistent type was being held prisoner somewhere else in the building, and her mother was busy hanging with The Doctor and the bitchchick.
So, having watched the whole episode, it makes a little more sense. Also, they got a Ghostbusters reference in there. Ohmygodslove. The Doctor is awesome. Forever.
And then...Daleks. Holy shit, freaking DALEKS! Hell, if you don't know what a Dalek is, then please stop reading my flist. You're really just not worthy. (Alt. let me know and I'll educate you, then I don't have to kick anyone off my friendslist.)
Alsoalso, Torchwood is COOL! I'd totally work there, besides the "dur we're stupid" thing. Yeah...Torchwood loses points for ripping apart the fabric of the cosmos, or whatever the proper wording is there.
Doomsday:
Last episode of the season!
First off: Dude. Daleks. Daleks are quite plausibly the Best Thing Ever. And Daleks arguing with Cybermen? Awesome. Best. Diologue. EVER! I'm quite pleased with how totally amusing that is.
Also, I'm QUITE pleased that the Doctor finally explained what the heck was up with his lovely threedee glasses. And threedee glasses are awesome.
Morestuff...Alright...because I'm being very careful to step around the subject, I'll slide to the last few moments -fut the wuck is up with the strange woman who has suddenly appeared in the TARDIS? She's not the new assistant -new assistent is going to be played by the black scientist type from Torchwood who was kidnapped by the Cybermen and mercykilled by The Doctor. So, who is this strange woman. More importantly, how the hell'd she get in the TARDIS? More more importantly, damn you BBC for making me wait ENTIERLY TOO LONG to find out.
And hell, the big one. I liked the ending. I really did, it was a...well, 'nice' isn't exactly the right word for it, but closest I can find...way to kill Rose. And the last shots...damn. That's just horrid. They made the Doctor cry. That's just not fair. NOT BLOODY FAIR, I TELL YOU!
*sighs crankily* Other then that, the whole episode was brilliant. As is Dr. Who in general. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go make sure the bishies trapped in my closet have been fed. *grins*

on 2006-07-19 02:25 am (UTC)Understandable seeing as how the TARDIS is supposed to be removed from space and time for the most part.
I think the Doctor might have skipped a few lectures and Timelord University I think.

on 2006-07-23 02:29 am (UTC)RTD has some AMAZING COOL AWESOME I WANT TO IMPREGNATE HIM WITH MY CHILDREN episodes, and then he has some pretty boring average everyday episodes (like New Earth, S28E1 (i.e. the first episode of the Tennant series) which had cat alien things...he tends to make Humans in Funny Suits aliens, which are the worst kind. Although that ep was kinda cool in that it had the Face of Bo in it again). I personally think they should lock him in a cell and just bring him out at the end of each series.
What else? Oh, those two are easily the best two eps of the whole series. Although The Girl in the Fireplace and Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel are good too (and the last two you probably should have watched before the ones you did watch, since it explains a bit of the setup (why Rose's boyfriend Mickey is in an alternate dimension in the first place, what happened to alt-Jacqui and alt-Mickey and alt-Rose, why the Cybermen are over there).
Right. I'll be in the engine room recalibrating the....um.....in the engine room.
