who was Eakley again? I was a little fuzzy understanding the second half (having seen the Angela Lansbury version of the first half)and the boyf and I agreed that this is definitely a show best played to theater types (who can actually appreciate the level of work that goes into, say, acting with a tuba or a cello) and moreover, those who know the show.
I couldn't figure out what the little white coffin was or why he wanted to kill his daughter until it was explained to me about the chair, and that no, he didn't want to kill his daughter. Listening to the CD afterwards helped.
