sorcyressSo, hey, shockingly enough, life is better today. Because, y'know, given time, the Sorcyress NEVER feels less emo or anything like that.

Anyways, I'm walking home from class over at Porter. I'm almost there when I hear my name called --it's Maddie, being awesome as always. She smiles in a friendly sort of way, and goes "I'm going to go get my lip pierced, wanna be moral support?"
Me: .......Sure!!
So we trudged off to Chameleon (in the Garage, does piercing and tattoos and is apparently wicked overpriced (this just gathered from gossiping with my favourite gay boi's) and hung out for a bit chatting about body modifications we wanted to get done eventually1 and other fun stuff. Then the piercer calls her back.
So, we go in a little room and Maddie perches on the seat. They talk shop for a bit, and then the messy part starts. The piercer picks up this huge needle (Disclaimer: Not actually that huge. About two-three inches long and maybe 16 gauge or something.)
And she shoves it through Maddies lip.
It was SO COOL! I mean, besides the "ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod there is a NEEDLE in her LIP" thing, it was totally awesome to watch get done. Plus, helped me cement the fact that no, Sorcy is a bit of a scaredyKat in regards to pain, but she's not scared of needles. Which is cool.
So yeah. That was my big adventure for the day, and also why I was slightly late to math. I believe that it was worth it though --really not the sort of event that happens often.

1: I kinda sorta want an industrial, but it's not worth the money and the inability to give blood yet. Possibly I'll try and get it done at the same time I get the tattoo I kinda want, so I'm only out of the vampire loop for a year. I just think they look particularly cool. (I like regular cartilage piercings too.)
Hey, someone remind me to make this weeks Content Free Friday about body modification. That'd be cool.
