For once, I haven't been quiet because of SorKat's law of posting (Essentially, when you are busy, you do not have time to post things), my writings have just not been of the elljay kind really. That, and nothing that I can write about has really been happening to me.

The Past Weekish:

Been hanging out a good deal with the college kids --yay!
Been going to classes and rehearsals --good of me, but boo.
Been stressing out about room lottery --boo
Figured out who I'm rooming with, and hopefully where --yay!
Mum and Da are coming to visit this weekend --yay!!!
Also, real food --YAY!
Joie de Vivre is having a spring cleaning sale --yay!!!
I have no money. --mega-hella-boo.


So so so! I've no doubt that some of you have seen my previous wallet, which was(is) glorious and red and grey and infinite and made of duct tape and made for me by the Truly Amazing jannyblue. She handed it to me at Balticon06, and I used it and used it hard for pretty much exactly a year before it started to really fall to pieces and need repair work.

Well. I still haven't gotten around to doing the necessary repairs, BUT, the student union was having a "Make things out of duct tape" free activity thing, and I had a half hour break from rehearsal. Cue Sorcy picking up a big ass-roll of orange duct tape.

For a first real attempt at making a wallet? It turned out epically good. There are pretty clearly some things I'll need to remember for next time, mostly dealing with the order one needs to tape things, but it turned out not at all bad. And since the student center has the cafe, and the cafe had salads for sale, in lovely clear plastic boxes, I was able to put in an ID window. Of course, my school ID only lasted about twelve-teen seconds in there, my *hugs!* card pretty much walked over, beat it up, and took its place.

So, piccies.


OHMYGOD, THE WALLET IS ACTUALLY THE SIZE OF MY HEAD!! AAAAA! *flails*

...man, I miss Luna. That seems to be the sort of thing that she would say.


And open, it is twice as big as my head! Hurrah!!

There is even a secret pocket, for holding white cards with interesting words on them.


...Goodness, that's a lot of stuff, isn't it?

It's arranged roughly by what pocket it goes into. The money and the white slips(which say that I have a package! *bounces*) go into the big pocket, along with those top three white cards. The two gift cards (Starbucks and Quiznos), the two calling cards (Belonging to Magus and Jannyblue...c'mon folks, really, more of you have to have calling cards, yeah?), and the four photos (Don't ask about the baby. I really just don't want to talk about it) go in the left hand pocket. The four other white cards go into the secret clear pocket, and the five actually useful cards that comprise what my wallet was go in the pocket behind the secret clear one.

Andsoyeah. I am ridiculously proud of what a crafty little bugger I am.

I've been going to dance, going to board gaming, going to pot luck (with apple tart and Florentines), saying goodbye to my girl as she heads off to 'merca. Oh, and failing to do any experimental work. But now I'm home for the weekend, not going anywhere, and will be able to catch up with you.

. o O (day's been spent lying on the couch whacked out from a cold, GnM, & sleep deprivation. (After, of course, already having already done kidstuffnthings along with erranding) That said, i'm still in a remarkably cheerful state of mind, owing to the awareness that i am loveable^_^)
