1On a totally personal level, it's also fascinating to see someone emphasizing the "no homo" as strongly as he is. Because he is a STRAIGHT MAN full of HETERO STRAIGHTNESS who would never dream of looking at a dude in a sexual way, no attraction, none at all. Which means either:
a) he's fucking lying to himself and everyone else because [...] he's not actually willing to recognize that he's a little queer.
b) he does not actually acknowledge or respect my gender and considers me to be a woman.
As gross and homophobic as the first option is, I kinda find myself hoping for it, because like...you know, then it's not personal? Because being misgendered _hurts_. Because I know that there are people who look at me and see nothing but "woman", but damnit, I also know too many people who are trying not to to think that's okay anymore.
I was tweeting the other day about how utterly important it is to have Janet on The Good Place. Because what she does, what she is enabling me (and I am not alone) to do, is say "not a lady", "not a girl", "not a woman", just as a tiny quiet sentence. Not an interruption, just a reminder. Over and over and over and over again until it starts to stick, and you know? With some people it is!
So a reminder to everybody, I'm not a woman. And if you're gonna be attracted to me, you're gonna have to sit with yourself on that one until you figure out how to cope with *your* shit without invalidating *my* existence. I'm not sorry for knowing who I am, and I'm not sorry that I've fucked up your binary worldview. You can cope.
Or you can insist I'm a woman anyways, you can no-homo away your attraction to anyone who doesn't identify as 100% THE FEMALEZ, you can pretend I'm not hot and that you're not actually into me. And you can GTFO of my life, because I don't have space for people who aren't willing to make space for who and what I actually am.

1: "Hey Sor, this is kindof an...abrupt..." yeah yeah, well I took out the two paragraphs that made the subtweet explicit. Mostly because the subtweet limits this post to only one person, and actually, this is a bigger problem --men are into me but also DEFINITELY HET and that just tells me they're not actually into *me*. You can be into the idea of me all you want, but the actuality only goes home with people who acknowledge its existence.
