Two Wonderful Things
Dec. 15th, 2013 11:43 pmOkay, I know I am supposed to be going to bed, but real quick...
So, there was some debate going on in the living room earlier between Sparr and Jordan (roommates, ya!) and it got a little arguey and I decided to go into my room, because I didn't want to be part of it anymore (which is totally okay by me, I like people being able to debate, and the whole point of having my own room is so I can go into it.)
But later, after they were onto other things, I wanted to go have social company for a bit because I like people, but Sparr was all about to start watching television, and that really defeated the point of social company, and also I do not love forcing myself not to pay attention to the TV, because I'm not really good at it. So I went back into my room, because again, whole point of room.
But I was a little sad about it, so I put my status message on IM as "lonely".
So wonderful thing number one was that I got messages from Jordan being really sweet and all "I like having debatey things and all, but I'm totally willing to not if it means you feel chased out of the public spaces, because it's your house too and I want you to be safe and happy in it" and I was just all *glee* at him, because it's really cool having housemates who respect your crazy. (And I told him it was cool, I just wasn't up for debate tonight and like dealing with things by poofing.)
And wonderful thing number two was that Tailsteak pinged me and we were chatting and he was all "you should totally Skype!" and so we did, and I don't even know if it was intentional on his part, but he gave me like two and a half hours of hanging out in his living room, with his roommates(/wife) and it was very happy and we all wore turtles on our heads for part of it.
And suddenly it's time for bed, and I don't feel lonely anymore, I feel loved. (I dunno if Jordan ever reads this journal, but I know Tailsteak does sometimes, and I think this is a good sort of note to leave them).
So yeah. I have good friends and they make wonderful things happen. <3
