Status update, obscurity style!

The T is still running. Slow, and delays, and don't trust the busses in the slightest, but the T is still running, and so it is still possible for me to get around my city.
I miss Blaise, desperately. I was thinking of trying to ride her, up until today when the roads got snowy again. I'm sure I'm fine on pavement, I just...need there to be such a beast.
My feet work, my legs work, and as much as I cringe at the creak of snow, well, there are ipods for a reason.
Communication:
Hahahaha, so yeah. I need to get in touch with mom to discuss options for my lack of a phone, be it setting up a Google Voice or Skype account (annoying but doable) or going to the sprint store and using big wide begging eyes to get a replacement, or what.
...this would be much easier if I could call her. Also, if I had time. Maybe I will make her IM me after bowling tomorrow or something?
If anyone has a very small Phillips head screwdriver (I am thinking glasses-sized?) and would like to help me take apart Magikarp and see if the corrosion can be found and cleaned off, that would be a pretty good thing as well.
As always, I find I don't miss the leash or phone aspect of it at all (though I will be major-league bummed if I lose all my text messages I've saved) but all the incidentals like having an alarm clock and knowing what time it is without carrying a watch...those I miss.
Accommodation:
I still have a place to sleep. Plus several. Except for NoSuchCon, I haven't narrowed down a place to sleep there yet. Not sleeping for forty-eight hours is kinda tempting, unless Dirk wants me to help drive, which would be decent of me to offer, plus DRIVING, but I am not allowed to drive without sleep, because c'mon, really now. Also, I don't know if NonCon has 24 hour stuff, so that would be much harder.
On the plus side (since food is totally part of accomodation), JPLicks sends coupons to people who have subscribed to their mailing list. Coupons during snowstorms. For 2-for-1 ice cream. This is basically the best news I've gotten all day, and Ria and I are probably going to go tomorrow.
Hair:
We do not talk about my hair right now. It's brushed and functionally braided, and that's _good fucking enough_ okay?
