I have to run off to work, so no time to make a proper post, but I feel I should start up some discussion anyways.

So!

What do you people always wear? What do you wear extremely often? What do you wish you always wore?

So, a couple or three weeks ago, I bought myself some Moleskienes.

(Actually, it was the third of July --a whole month ago. Excellent.)

I got a three pack of the little 64 page ones, since they were the only ones the bookstore had that met a majority of my requirements (black, soft cover, ruled --though I got squared and am inclined to say I like that better, small) I decided to steal a good idea from a tech friend of mine, and write in them from both directions --when right side up, I only write on the right page. When I turn the notebook upside down, and start from the back, I again only write on the right page. It works.

The first one immediately turned into my accounts journal, since I've been meaning to keep better track of what I'm spending my monies on. The other direction in that journal is a wantlist, mostly of stuff from work. This list is excellent, as I had completely forgotten about the incredibly noir-iffically sexy black trenchcoat that I am buying so hard tomorrow, until I looked at my list.

The other one is a ToDo list going in the other direction, and a thoughtspad going the normal way. For some reason, I've never needed to scrawl down a thought except when at work. So, I'm going to share you the thoughts from the last month of work that I felt the need to actually write down.

Authors notes in italics

3 July 2k8:
*The song "You're so vain" includes the line "Clouds in my coffee". Discuss. Also, better or worse hearing the words as 'clowns'? I love this song. That particular note was what kicked off my own little mini-xkcd rip off game of replacing the word clouds with clowns, all the time.
*"As I lay me / Down to sleep / Yes I pray / That you will hold me near" That's the entirety of that note. I happen to know that those are lyrics, and that I should go find the song, because it's pretty, and a little earwormy.

27/July/2k8: (Look, I was in California for a lot of that and stuff. I have an excuse! Kinda...)
*Well...hell. I genuinely enjoy my work. Sure, there are other things I'd rather be doing, but I like the sorting and organizing and shopping and interacting with people. Still true. I love my job, especially because my bosses rock.

28/July/2k8:
*I am five generations of women in my family -mom, gram, etc. Story idea. Lots of time travel, going to be quite messy if I ever get around to writing it.
*Chuck Norris doesn't have to think this song is about him -he just knows it is. It is ridiculous how much I like that song.
*Serial killer who's (whose?) shtick is that s/he tags all e's1 victims with a tagging gun. Another story idea. Mostly because I am so in love with the tagging gun. I want one so badly, despite having no fucking idea what I'd do with it.
*Sitcom that takes place in a thrift store.
*More willing to buy story comics over gag a day stuff? Reminder to write this essay about webcomics in book form, and what markets better.

1/Aug/2k8:
*Sitcom - Idealistic newbie pisses off backroom manager, is made to untangle a HUGE ball of electronic cords. True story, that, besides the pissing off part. And it was only like twenty or thirty cords.

2/Aug/2k8:
*What are your favourite children's books? I myself completely love Alvin Fernald -he had such adventures, and I was so in love with Shoie. (Brought to mind by thinking about the swap shop.) By Clifford Hicks. Go read!
*Where do donation based thrift stores get their starting stock?

4/Aug/2k8:
*HSM Pinafore. Ohgod, I'm going to the special hell, aren't I? For the unknowing, HSM is the common abbreviation for High School Musical.

5/Aug/2k8:
*May that woman with the horde of sucktastick children get exactly what she deserves. Kat dear...I think she already has. This is a lie. She is a horrible mother, and should not be allowed to have six children. If you cannot control your children, you have too many, and should stop.
*Name a playlist 'The Optimist's Ballad' Inspired by listening to "Let's Dance to Joy Division" too many times. I actually have a playlist already called "Just be Happy", which is about what I was looking for. The other things on the list are "Ballad of Guiteau", "Hakuna Matata", "Walking on Sunshine", "I Feel Fantastic", and "Ordinary Day".

5/Aug/2k8 next page
*I could probably write a less than 31 word porn using the phrase "Only cream and bastards rise" -c'mon, it just begs for it, yeah? I...kinda had my ipod on today. I mean, it's not like the radio was playing 'You're so Vain' for me or anything.
*So, I do the xkcd eyes-thighs thing, and I do my own substitution of clowns for clouds. Makes the line "I can see the clouds in your eyes" particularly awkward, doncha think? That was a total chekovs gun I threw at you up there. I bet you totally forgot about it, too.
*Not transcribed in order to avoid undue drama
