sorcyressI went to crack an egg on the stove, to dump it into the ramen. After the egg cracked, I completely failed to pick it back up completely and dump the contents into the pot. In fact, I think I more or less dropped the shells, and the runny bits, onto the stove. At which point I stared at them for a half-second being all "this has never happened to me before, what do I do?"
As it turns out, get lots of paper towels, sop up as much of the egg as possible from the stove and floor, then use the sponge to clean up the dangerous residue. But still! I crack eggs on the smooth stovetop _all the fucking time!_ I don't ever crack eggs on edges anymore, not since learning that's more likely to drive the shell (and any salmonella) into the yolk. This is a skill I have demonstrated competently as an adult adventurer!
But sometimes you just roll a two and there's nothing you can do about it.
