Other than a few specific cars, I'm not that good at telling years either, despite my parents collecting old American cars (1940-1960) since before I was born (not in restored condition, though). Offhand, the ones I can recognize are the '59 Cadillac and the '47 Cadillac (her 2nd favorite), and sometimes the slight variations in the years around the two cars.
