I've been trying to write a response to this in which I do the most ridiculously over-the-top mansplanation that nobody could possibly take it for anything except parody. I keep running afoul of Poe's Law. It doesn't help that mansplainers frequently don't have a clue what they're talking about.
When I was little, my mommy taught me a very important lesson: when you win the argument, it's time to stop arguing. While this isn't the situation you're describing at all, the most important thought behind it translates: if the only possible effect the words you're saying can have is to upset the person you're saying them to, why are you saying them?
