It was a nice Christmas. I got video of Alys eating grapefruit, and helped make breakfast, and then there were presents, and I got DINOSAUR FOOTIE PYJAMAS! (they are quite sexxxy, I assure you --that's xxx sexy, yes--) and the xkcd book, and a lovely black dress, and thigh high fishnets, and to harass the family, and to be teased by my awesome aunt, and a nap, and have spent much of the last fewseveral hours watching Dad play Heroes of Might and Magic III.

I don't have too much else to say. Hope your day went well, whatever you celebrate.

I don't know why everyone always assumes the sacrifices are female. Really, unecessarily sexist. In this case the sacrifice was a young male. We do keep the whole virginal requirement but I think that's more for tradition than any actual requirement by the Great Old Ones. But for understandable reasons most followers aren't willing to actually go and see if a non-virgin would incur the Great Old Ones' wrath.

But yes, it looks like the individual was not tied down tightly enough. Since I didn't do it, I can blame that on the other cultists. However, even when they are tied down well, they squirm a surprising amount once they are told what is in store for them. Maybe you can assist with the next sacrifice and see if you can do a better job.
