Further Adventures in things from organizing my entire music library circa 2005-2019 that I found remarkable (and therefore remarked upon), part 2.
And that feels like a pretty good place to end! After Chumbawumba, I have 1,356 more folders to go through. I made progress! Hell, I did more than a hundred folders tonight! Very pleased.

MOOP!
(PostScript: This Kate Nyx song playing now is called "The Jesus Song" and includes the lyric "I really really really really fucking love Jesus" which is unexpected but really fucking funny.)
- It feels a little weird that I am filing Betsy Tinney separately from s00j and AJA, but it seemed genuinely useful/important to have separation between "folk - dance-y" and "folk - sing-y" and she's the one who doesn't sing (or at least not primarily).
Also I know my categories are weird and arbitrary. Please don't ask which artists are in "Indie Rock or Whatever". You may be able to guess some of the "Girlpop (including lots of dad music)" but probably some of the artists there will be staggering as well. THEY MAKE ME HAPPY AND I AM THE IMPORTANT ONE HERE! - Billie The Vision & The Dancers is such a good band name, and I dearly love that the single song I have from them is from an album called "I Was So Unpopular in School and Now They're Giving Me This Beautiful Bicycle". This is GOOD STUFF.
- Oh my god, I own a copy of The Bad Touch? This is great news, I fucking love this song. Also in good album names, I did not realize it was off an album called "Hooray for Boobies". Hooray indeed!
- I just had 7 "Bobby"'s in a row, every single one of which had songs solely from the "hits from 1960 or 1958" compilation mixes I've got. Congratulations Mr's Bland, Darin, Day, Freema, Freeman, Rydell, and Vee. Your name is a snapshot in time.
- (Mr. Luman is a *grown-up* and shall be referred merely as "Bob".)
- There is, AFAIK, one song collab between Kate Nyx and SJ Tucker and it just came up in my shuffle and fufuffffckkckckfkffuffllckkckkk YES PLEASE GOOD (Marching Song, and it's pretty baller)
- In terms of other good categorization, I am pleased to put former neighbor Brad Sachs into the "Sad Girls with Pretty Voices" folder. He is not a girl, but he is sad and has a pretty voice and I feel that's the more important distinction.
- Here is my first instance of being able to put together a single complete CD from two fractured folders! Britney Spears, I have an album with four tracks called "Oops, I think I did it again" and an album with eight tracks called "Oops!...I did it again". Now I have one album with twelve tracks and the latter name!
- I love so fucking much that the folders are already labelled "Phantom of the Opera" and "Phantom of the Opera (good version)" God I'm a fucking dweeb.
- Artist folders: "Broadway". "Broadway!". "Broadway Revival Cast". Eleven albums. I am expecting to find at least that many shows when I get down to "Original Broadway Cast"
- Gods, I am _so happy_ about the mashup convention of "funny name combining track names (artist 1 vs artist 2)" because as soon as I see that vs, I know I can just toss it in the mashups folder and be done with it, which is important because I have downloaded SO MANY and they have come from SO MANY RANDOM ARTISTS and man, I should really check out Bootie again, but *not* in the middle of all this.
- HUBBA HUBBA ZOOT ZOOT okay it's very good that I have an "internet memes" folder already because in several cases I don't even know why or where I know it from. (a num num)
- Oh hey, it's that song Carly Simon wrote about me :)
- Number of Homestuck Mix Tapes I have found so far: 2. To be clear, this is not music from the webcomic Homestuck. This is music compiled by fans about specific characters. YEP.
- FCCCKKKKKKK the best part of this project is finding songs that I have whole hearted loved with every fibre of my being at some point in the past literally over 20 years, and that's SO GOOD. Every Time it Rains by Charlotte Martin is one of those songs that I can listen to a hundred times at full blast and feel best-way-possibly stabbed in the chest every time fuck fuck so happy about this!
(I am trying not to just like....immediately put every song I go "oo yeah, that one!" into the queue, because like, it's a little steadier and easier to concentrate by just having the Kate Nyx going in the background, but every once in a while YEP. TIME TO JUMP. - That is not the single Chumbawumba song I expected to have. Good for me but also huh.
And that feels like a pretty good place to end! After Chumbawumba, I have 1,356 more folders to go through. I made progress! Hell, I did more than a hundred folders tonight! Very pleased.
