I have a Tuesday!!!
I also haven't written real words all week, because I have had a truly staggering number of meetings. It's....not my favourite thing in the world.
(To be fair, a lot of them have been good meetings, like DnD or today was queer staff affinity group, but Tuesday had a double dose of curriculum committee (painfully boring and frustrating even for this one), and TMC (actually not too bad and I only tuned totally out a couple times when it could've been an email.)
But the upside of Many Meeting is that then I can just use the notes from that for my words and then I don't have to write. So I'm feeling entirely behind on updating things but also everything I've been doing is meetings so I don't really have exciting updates to make.
Tomorrow I will go to Arisia -and yes, I should probably pre-reg since then it'll be a slightly shorter line- and hang out there for the weekend. Mostly I will harass jere7my and mom. I'm gonna do some late night club dancing. I really wanna go see more Mrs Hawking. I'll probably hit up the masquerade. I will look at art and probably shop and hang out with various friends and shrug???
I was thinking about packing and realizing that I have reached a point in my life where I am basically always so burned out by the time Arisia happens that I can't be arsed to actually big time pack for it. Was the first pandemic-era Arisia last year? Probably, the year before that was omicron, and before that was 2021. So since the pandemic has started, my motivation for being real fancypants at Arisia is much lower.
I'm still looking forward to the weekend though! It will be nice to hang out! I can bring my sketchbook and doodle in the lobby at some point! People will be wearing masks! I could read a book and no one cares? Maybe I should bring my stilts!!!
(Oh yeah, I should ping my friend who has taken photos with me while I am on stilts both before and after we actually met each other and find out if she's coming to con this year!)
Tomorrow will be work, and then going home and packing and heading out to the T and then Arisia probably in the 6-8 range, depending on how effective I am at packing, and how crap the T is. It'll be nice to see yinz're there.
(Also, since it was my lede and then I completely ignored it, Tuesday is here so she can go to mystery hunt while I am at Arisia. It's the classic star-crossed-lovers story! But I get a little hangout time with her today, and on Monday and that's pretty good.)
