It is shitty stupid covidtimes still, and I hate it. It is also my birthday on Saturday Aug28 and that part is slightly less hateful because it means yinz should get delicious ice cream in celebration. Or other frozen treats. I'm not super picky!
HOWEVER given that vaccines exist (and work) and that masks exist (and work), and that the 7 Hills Park just off of the main part of Davis square exists (and works?) and has more space than just chilling in the middle of the square, I'ma gonna declare that![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
locals are welcome to come eat ice cream _with me_ on Saturday. I'ma aim for getting ice cream and heading over to the park around 8PM to eat the ice cream.
If you are over 12 and not vaccinated, please do not attend. If you are sick with anything that might be a communicable disease, please do not attend (I don't want to get a cold any more than I want to get covid). When you are not actively eating ice cream, please wear a mask. We'll work out the rest of it as it goes, I hope.
((Also, unlike most years when I do this as an open call on Facebook, I'm ONLY posting this invite here and in my discord server. I have no idea whether I will get 2 people or twenty and I'm not willing to do the mad logisticating that RSVPs would require (though I will be attempting to keep a list for contact tracing purposes). Please feel free to let me know if you plan to attend, and to bring other people you/I know, but it's not meant to be a giant EVENT.))
