*I saw a student over Meet who I hadn't seen or heard from to date, so that was really good, and really frustrating as I totally largely failed to help her understand how to do the work on Google Classroom through screen and language barriers. Sigh. But seeing and connecting with my students is good! I also got to send emails that boiled down to "you don't need to apologize for being stressed and behind with the work when two of your neighbors have died of covid, christ dude, please stop doing school and take some time to yourself" and "you don't need to apologize for being exhausted and behind with the work when it is Ramadan and you are fasting, seriously lady, please stop doing school and take some time to yourself."
I like being able to send these emails, from a "education is broken, grades are fake, everyone gets an A" perspective, but I would very much like the world to stop being scary right now.
*I spoke on the phone with a friend in Maryland about a project to work on this summer, and also I put on some work for a similar and related project and I am excited about all these projects!

*Came out to my department! (good reactions all around, because the people with bad takes are smart enough to shut the fuck up). Also sent coming out email to the principal, assistant principals, secretaries, and guidance counselors. Only one response from those so far, but it was also good (and unexpected, from a counselor I've only talked to a few times and always in a very professional "with a student" sort of way).
*Played a _bunch_ of Animal Crossing, whoops. Mostly just fucked around, some of which was fucking around on mom's island. Bought lily seeds to maybe start doing some lily science. Mom taught me how to make pitfalls! Last night I visited Scorpion Island, which was heavenly. I like this game.
*Skype-hangout with Tailsteak for a couple hours! Absolutely nothing of consequence except chatting and bonding, which was great and I really enjoyed it.
*Srs chat with Ezri about The Future. Most important conclusion is that both of us wish for a future where we continue to live together. Everything past that is gravy. It took me six years of fucking around and living with approximately 211 other people in the process, but I have found my family and I am super super pleased for that.
Not much else. Maybe tomorrow will be more stuff done? And maybe I will just sleep forever.

1: This number is definitely low, because like...I can't remember the fifth member of ARSES from when I moved out, which is embarrassing because I probably liked them alright, and I can't actually swear I remember all the people who went through that fuckass revolving door of a house. I do know that in three years at the four-bedroom TanzaHausa, I had six roommates (John Danger was the only one present for all three years).
