I was horribly late to first service ringing this morning (being as I mostly overslept, and didn't leave the house until just before ten, which is when I aim to be at Advent). I still got to ring a bit of stuff, and trooped off with everyone to Old North where we had a quarterpeal attempt. It didn't went, but we had a nice day of ringing anyways. I rang up the tenor in peal for the first time, which was pretty cool! Elaine said I did an alright job, even!
Bells lunch was mellow and lovely, and then I traveled home on the T with![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
lauradi7dw since most everyone was headed off to handbell peal attempts. Laura and I had some lovely conversation about emergency preparedness and morbid touristing and the like --certainly more fun than riding alone!
Once I got home, I set my alarm for 4:04 (phone not found) and mucked about doing nothing for forty-five minutes. When the alarm went off, my phone MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED for an hour and there was nothing to do to get it back but patiently wait and do things that weren't on the phone, until it just-as-mysteriously reappeared plugged into the charge cable on my desk.
I imported the Hadestown soundtrack onto the computer (the live premiere album --five more days until the broadway cast recording drops!) and listened to Act 1 while groaning and staring at the ground. Somehow, groaning and staring at the ground did manifest into cleaning part of my room. It's amazing what I will do out of Sheer Boredom when my regular electronic toys are taken away from me.
So the floor of my room is more clean, the trash is ready to be taken out, and I have successfully done two loads of laundry. Well, washed and dried, they are currently on the bed to be put away...either tonight if I'm back here or tomorrow night sometime. We'll see.
I'm headed off to BIDA in a little bit (I aim to be there before nine. We'll...we'll see.) but after I was allowed to do more mucking about on the computer, I also managed to create some kind of dinner. Look, box mac'n'cheese and carrots is something resembling dinner!
Tomorrow I get to go shoe shopping with Haiiro, hit up graduation and be all teary-eyed at my seniors, and hopefully make it to some of the Scottish AGM. Next weekend is my candidate exam. Next Tuesday is my last final, and next Thursday is last day of school. (note to self: Do not plan anything for Thursday night, so you can go on Ridiculous Teacher Adventures with your coworkers.)
