Apr. 6th, 2011 11:35 amLittle thing that has made my life better: knowing how to use a pocketknife to cut an apple into wedges.
It means I'm more likely to eat the apple (I prefer slices to whole), especially because it makes it way easier to put peanut butter on the apple (which is _delicious_.) Eating apples is healthy. Actually eating them, instead of grabbing them and intending to eat them, is better for the environment.
And using a pocketknife to do basically anything? Is totally badass. I'm happy I have one again1.

MOOP!
1: At dance on Monday, there was a sampling of clothings and jewelry and stuff from the local donation run scottish shop. I totally wasn't going to buy anything, because I am way poor, but I happened to have a couple extra bucks in my bag from selling my mind to Harvard2, and they happened to have a nice heavy pocketknife with a sharp blade. For ten dollars? When I need a knife? Yeah, so there.
2: Harvard psychology lab will let you do surveys and tasks and questions and stuff, and pay you. It's basically five dollars per half-hour session, and you can only do like...fifteen sessions total, but fuckit, I need the extra money! Someone remind me in September to explain the totally weird task I was assigned the other week, because it was awesome.
PostScript: Yesterday, as part of sneakily and subtly moving over to DreamWidth a bit, I changed my "update journal" hotkey from LJ to DW, mostly because the DW entries will automatically sync to LJ. This is officially the first post being made using that new hotkey, rather than manually going to the DW update page. Cool.
