So the good:

I am going to North Carolina, halfway through October, in order to watch my friend, Erika prance around onstage in the musical 'Assassins'.

Also going to North Carolina around the same time and for the same reason, are the Katters and Swingerzetta. (And word on the rumour mill, possibly Talia!) Already in North Carolina are Harena and the Woozle. Everyone except Erika (except, you know, when we kidnap her) are going to be base out of Hypertwin Manor, where Har and Woozle live.

This is officially going to pretty much be the Best Weekend Ever. NTS: Stock up on caffinne for the trip, because I sure as hell am not going to be sleeping, at all.

The bad:

Yeah, it *would* be the same damn weekend as the EAS Regency Assembly, wouldn't it? I mean, silver lining being that it's not like I own the clothes for that sort of thing yet *anyways*, but still. Dancing, damnit! *Regency* damnit, which I am not good enough at yet and don't get to practise often enough. Also, a chance to see Susan, which is good, as I am trying to make friends with her because I think she's incredibly neat, and I like making friends with incredibly neat people.

So, boo for not going dancing. Yay for getting to huggle Har and spend time (a weekend, but still, that's TIME, damnit!) with my clone. Yay for the cheapest flight to be able to get me back to school before my nine thirty AM class on monday. More boo for not going dancing. Also, some amount of boo for being out of town one of the weekends that Herbert is in.

Oh, and mega yay for, at the least, being in town for the GBS concert. We will see if I have a) money and b) ability to actually get there.

(no subject)

Totally lovely afternoon/evening.

My dad was in town for a meeting tomorrow, so he took me out to lunch/dinner, which was wonderfully nice --I wound up with my belly stuffed full of good food, and leftovers in the fridge for later. I got to learn what the family was up to, which was nice, and hear entertaining stories about my brother.

I got home, and slacked around for half an hour or so on the computer, when a whole bunch of people arrived --Lauren and Emily, LezzieBeth, Conner¹, Ria, and LightMolly². I go and be lightly social with them, until I hear the words 'Robot Chicken' float by, at which point I detangle myself from the internet, and go hang out.

As I go over to sit on my bed, LightMolly opens her arms in the clear "come sit in my lap" gesture. So I got to watch the first three or four episodes in the lap of a leggy blonde, which is always a good thing³. We watched about half a dozen episodes total, and then decided to walk people home/to their car.

We send Ria off, and then the remaining six of us wind up in an empty parking lot, next to either Beth or Conner's car (they live next door to each other, it doesn't really matter who's it is.) just chatting and dancing and fighting and tickling each other and comprising triads and making a sexuality spectrum (the lesbian, the homo-leaning bi girl, the mostly hetero girl, and waaay over there the weird girl who likes everybody) and just generally being stupid college kids in the two thousands.

It was lovely. <3

After about an hour, we got home, and soon I will go sleep like a good puppy in time for my class tomorrow.

Apropos of nothing, I find it incredibly awesome that Maddie plays acoustic guitar. It just feels so authentically collegey to have someone screwing around on a guitar.

1: Conner is one of Beth's best friends, a Lesley grad student (I think), very strongly opinionated, and one of the people who I so clearly need to be friends with.

2: LightMolly, who is not known as FreshmanMolly, is different from DarkMolly, who is not (really) known as JewMolly. They are both wonderful though.

3: Yes, even if she's a straight leggy blonde. Hell, maybe *especially* if she's a straight leggy blonde, means I don't have to worry about all those messy relationship things.
