I...may in fact have too many Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy related books.

See, I'm packing for college, and I made a nice neat stack of them, with all my other books. I have ten.

*The original radio scripts for the first 12 fits
*My blue copy of the complete guide, for highlighting and writing in
*My black leatherbound copy of the complete guide, for looking nice
*My new paperback copy of the complete guide, in, erm, Swedish
*A copy of the first book bought in London
*A copy of the first book in German
*A copy of Life, The Universe, and Everything that I bought for something like a quarter at a book sale
*A copy of So Long and Thanks for All the Fish (since it's my favourite)

Yeeeeeah. And on Dimi, I have the first three radio series. Moderately obsessive, yes.

OH! And *somewhere* I have the prologue to the Hijackers Guide to the Galaxy all printed out and mailed to me, which I wound up originally reading during a really shit tech job. So that's awesome too.

And I'm probably going to wind up snagging the DVD, although I know there is no way mum will let me drag the miniseries up to Bawston.

A girls gotta have her fandoms, after all. I wonder where I can get a couple copies of the towel --merely having a largish bath towel from Marks and Spencers is lovely and all, however...

From Katters, I got a ticket to go and fucking see JEKYLL AND HYDE with her! Ohmigawd, Squee! And linked to that, mum sent me out to California to spend four days with her and watch ENTIERLY too many good things.

Also, mum disagrees with me about Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde. She says that it is not better then it ought to be.

From Harena I got the most magnificent pirate hat ever. It is bright orange, and she KNITTED and felted it. It's SO COOL!

From Tho I got an exceedingly long letter (Tho, you do know that my christmas letter to you was only so long because I wrote it during Drivers Ed and had nothing else to do, right?) and the Swedish version of the complete Guide which is Very Cool and utterly unreadable.

From Ksatyr I got WAY TOO MANY awesome presents. My boyfriend spoils me. *smiles happily* He gave me a wind up triceratops pencil sharpener, which you all will get video of when I take pictures, a lego set which has instructions to make a little mini backhoe (ohmygod. SQUEE!) an abacus, and a backed up copy of my original baby, Dmitri. Mmm!

Neva gave me a bag of Neva Spice Cookies which may, in fact, be the most delicious things EVER! Besides, you know, everything else that Neva ever makes. :P

ShadowKevin got me a College Survival Kit. I need to take pictures to do it justice, but here's the quick list of what all is in it:

Black Bandana, Sewing kit, Blank Notebook, Pens, Posing-thing, Fimo Clay, Duct Tape, Mini Maglite, Chapstick, Mentos, Mentos + Soda tube, Pixie Sticks, Ramen, Pop-Tarts, Jack Sparrow, Glow Stick, Thread, Velcro, Crayons, and a PotC LunchBox!

Mum and Da got me a frigging MACBOOK! which means that they are absolved of all other present giving for however long the time is. *waves hand vaguely*

Mom also got me a copy of Fluxx 3.1 (YAY!) and a copy of Martian Coasters. Seeing as I do not yet own a copy of Treehouse, that's less then perfectly useful, but we'll GET there...

Mom also got me the Greatest Present Ever*, doubly so because it has the whole history thing to it. See, way back when she was first married to Dad, during their first christmas, he got her a truly wonderful piece of clothing.

As mum put it when she handed it to me "It needs some work."

Holy shit. I've wanted one of these ever since Origins '04 when I first saw Magus's.

Actually, hell, lets be honest. I've wanted a fishing vest (Which is kinda the same thing) ever since I first read "The Adventures of Blue Avenger" way the heck back in whenever it was I first read it. Middle School, probably. Because they are pockety and awesome and SQUEE!

Most of the big pockets are somewhat ripped out, and the ID pocket is dead. But the rest of it works and I can put things in the pockets and OHMYGODSQUEE!

Any birthday where I get pixie sticks, a backhoe, a dinosaur, Hitchhikers stuff, AND a much wanted piece of clothing is a Very Good One. And my computer. And an Awesome Hat. And Spice cookies. And California.
