LIfe. Don't talk to me about life.
Jul. 30th, 2006 08:08 pmSo! Today has actually been reasonably productive, up until the last hour and a half or so.
I spent most of today working on the giant pile of papers I've had lying around for varying amounts of years.
The good news is that I now have a huge pile of "To be recycled" and a whole bunch of things put away.
The bad news is that I'm not even close to being done, AND still have to find a place to put away the giant stack of mailforcollege and the almost as huge pile of school type files that I feel like keeping. Curse my packratish tendancies! I'll never be done with this!!
So, needing a break from all that, and also because I felt like chatting to Tho, I decided to attempt a new project, down here. Which I figure I'm about half done, and I can't be bothered to figure out how to finish it right now. Which makes two big projects that I've started today, neither one which I've come close to finishing.
On the plus side, I have learned how to do a four strand braid. Actually, I've figured out how to do an any number strand braid, but I suspect that past four or five it gets difficult to hold all the different strands. 'scool though, I should try and learn it for hair sometime.
I'm the only one in the house, which should mean that I should get into all manners of mischief, but then again, I'm no longer five. So my mischief has been limited to playing music very loudly, and stealing some of mom's tea. Not quite at the same time.
There was a lovely moment though where, I was sitting peacefully on the floor down here working on my secondary project, and had this sudden realization of "Shit! Tea!!" Upstairs to the bathroom where I had left my tea for a good hour or so, and was pleased to find it was still reasonably warm. Still, that's not the sort of thing you should generally leave lying around.
It occurs to me that I want dinner at some point.
What I really ought to do is curl up on the couch with either a good book or some sort of visual imput (Fight Club, EcclestonWho, or rewatching Black Books) and unwind. Not that I'm likely to do that -movies are so much nicer when you've got someone to watch them with.
...actually, there's an idea. I wonder if V wants to watch any Firefly. Hum.
(Actually, what I *ought* to do is work on my German, but I've been responsible all day and I'm getting bored of it.)
Anyways, I'm off to be melencholy somewhere else now. Tathen!
