Or so it seems to me.

What I should REALLY do is type up all the other chapters I've got for Royal Blue Eyes and post that over in the Kattales.

In other news, I picked up Adie again. I'm still not happy with it, it is, after all, in shitty rough draft form, but it's also repairable. And I found myself sucked into the story. Which, considering it was something I wrote, startled me. In a very reassuring way.

RBE still remains one of my favorite things that I've ever written. It's a time travel conspiricy fic, and, of course I'm not happy with it, but I like it a lot. Maybe because it's never been torn into by the wolves critics? Not that I object to the critcism, anything that helps my writings turn from merely decent to actually good is a wonderful thing. Or so the theroy goes.

I need to work on the RBE physics though...there's the problem with time travel, it's so MESSY! I bet they followed my heroines timeline to make sure it was impossible for her to kill her great great grandmother or any bunk like that. Oy.

So, this isn't a brilliant elljay entry. That's ok, I can deal with that. It's my damn journal, and I'll write whatever the hell I want to in here. And right now, I'm reasonably enamoured with the ideas of both writing and sorting out my room. And zombies. But that's besides the point.

OH! I *do* have real life things to babble about as well! Besides all the happy movie night-ness (We got Ian into one of my skirts...freaking AWESOME. He looked quite pretty.

...TEO doesn't seem to apply to him anymore, does it? Huh.)

ANYWAY, before movie night, me and mom went out to JoAnnes and to the Family Game Store, which is the lovely people who hosted the gameroom at Balticon. So I got to see Stewart, which was nice, and we bought TransAmerica, which is excellent. It's for father's day for dad though, so don't tell him.

And dude, game stores. *drools* It's been FAR too long since I last set foot in a game store, whatisit --last August, at Crossroads Games and Books in Maine? I think that's right...the last game store I visited is in freaking MAINE! Grr.

Maine...driving, weddings, New York, plans, plots, bad timing, and GRR! No, don't ask. I'm not sure *I* could explain what it allmeans and how to sort it out yet. Stuff.

So yes. Game stores are lovely places. And, home. I've got a list I'm working on for that, places where I feel at home. Oddly, the Hoff theatre when the Satanic Mechanics have taken it over is one of them. Rocky Horror never seemed like it would be something that I would fit in to -I'm primarily asexual after all- but...I do. Well, even.

Where else? CONVENTIONS!! I CRIED when I couldn't go to Origin's last summer -it's HOME! Fannish people are just so wonderful, and I love dealing with them. And hell, kobolds, and Satan!, and LARPC, and EVERYTHING.

Luckily, I can deal with missing it this year. (Although there are no excuse's to not making it next year.) Partly the whole London thing (I *have* mentioned I'm spending ten days in London leaving on the 26th, right?) and partly that I did make it to Balticon this year, and it's much of the same people. And I actually think I enjoyed it more then Origins. Smaller, perhaps? More people I enjoy hanging out with? Who knows.

Alright, I have missions to acomplish, discworld to read, and vampires to hang out with. I'll chat to you Cats and Kittens later.
