Knowing I'm not going to stay means I feel zero guilt or reservations about wearing my ankh to school.
I'm going to leave it inside the shirt, but for the foreseeable future, I'm actually going to be wearing the markers of my faith instead of leaving them at home. I'm square with the Big Man, but I don't try to confront his followers if I don't have to.
Also, the advice I'm clinging to from my friend Val "Don't feel guilty for taking as many days off for interviews as you need to". I mean, part of why I'm clinging is because I love her faith in me that I'll *get* interviews, but it's still good. It's exactly the right sort of "fuck you back" I'm looking for.
Success is the best revenge. Guess that means I need to go be successful.

(PostScript1: Yeahlook, I feel more rejected than basically I ever have before --I've very little experience being dumped, remember? It's a positive sort of rejected, but I'm gonna be maybe weirder than usual in my little safe space part of the internet.)
PostScript2: the most recent Something*Positive feels relevant to the discussion on things worn around necks and religion.)
