(no subject)

Every rare once in a while, I will, for no apparent reason, filk my life into whatever song appears to fit.

This was today's adventure (apologies to John and John)

Where do they Sell Kazoos?

Paper Source sells paper
The deli's selling food
Grocery store sells flowers for the girls who will be wooed
J.P. Licks is Ice Cream
Joeys is for Thai
Goodwill's full of lots of things, I guess I better try

'Cause where?
Where do they sell kazoos?
Oh where?
Where do they sell kazoos?

Rosie's is a bakery
Scottish Import's gone
Joie de Vivre ought to work, but inventory's wrong.
Greenward is for hippies
Tokai is for gifts
Ace is for construction, toilitries from CVS

But where?
Where do they sell kazoos?
Where?
Where do they sell kazoos?

Kazooooooos. Kazoooooooos! Kazoooooos. Kazooooooos!

Porter Square's a T-stop
Davis is as well
Harvard Square might be right, but getting there is hell
Damn my feet are tired
Been walking all the day
Just try Stellabella, if they have them I will pay

And there
There's where they sell kazoos
There!
There's where they sell kazoos!

stellabella is probably easiest for you to get to, but i would assume that Balich 5 & 10 in Arlington Heights also sells kazoos. There's also a toy store in Arlington Center that would probably have them too, Henry Bear's Park.

i really miss being near the 5&10 store.

and, you have skills, yes you do. :)

*grins* I shall have to go exploring, once it is spring.

And thank you.

According to something a friend of mine said last night, they sell kazoos to the people who make vintage porn soundtracks.

Haha. Wait, what?

Well, now I can make some vintage porn. WOO!

15 or so years ago I bought a whole bunch of kazoos, because I was going to do a funny version of "Mull of Kintyre" at a coffee shop open mike - not a filk, just performed in the style of various different artists (Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Slayer are the only ones I remember anymore), and I had a friend hand out the kazoos among the audience so that they could all be ready when I called for the bagpipes.

Good times, Pope. Good times.

I don't remember where I got them, though. Dollar store? Music store? No recollection at all.

Well, luckily I found some, so it all worked out alright.

You need to record this....

Oh, and here's (http://folk-instruments.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hohner-Kazoo?sku=420558) where they sell kazoos...

Ooo! But of course, I needed them faster than they could be shipped.

And I will try and remember to record it sometime when there's no one else in the room and I can sing like an idiot.
